When I was a kid I lived in Cook County, Illinois. I remember how deep the snow would get and how warm we'd have to dress. I've been in California for decades. No more shoveling! Great video and thanks for bringing back memories.

I live in Fulton, which is in the southern part of Oswego County and this is only the beginning of a looonnnnggggg winter!! I think I already put more miles on my snow blower this winter than I put on my truck last year!!!!! And it's only January.

We're expected to get 2- 5 inches of it today. And this is Hippy Westcoastville USA, which means that even an inch of snow will shut this city down.

50 miles south in the Fingerlakes I can see the grass on the ground. Oswego is a different world. Got to be tough to live in that place. Insane!

Wow! And here in west central Georgia where I live, we can't even get one inch of snow. It hasn't snowed really good here since 2014. It's snowed all around us, even south of us. But somehow it always goes around us. But somehow the severe weather during the summer never misses our area.

Drum Guy Maybe because your area has a low altitude or it is surrounded with high mountains as mountains drain the clouds

I love the snow. Here in Idaho last year we got over 2 feet by this time but this year we have only gotten snow once. I think its because everyone complained and now we aren't going to get any snow.

Looking at all the snow on the roof's makes me wonder if homes in that area need to have reinforced roofing support to handle the added weight?

Added to two tornados and almost losing a dam in California, it's certainly been a weather event year for the USA. Better be on the watch next for possible flooding from so much snow, even the UK has snow. Our summer in Australia is 33% under way, today 33c, same again tomorrow
