5:13 This Nu-Gundam was my first Gundam kit. I found it in a hobby store in Wanganui in 1999. I didn't know anything about Gundam, I just loved the look and the colours. The diecast parts give it nice weight, but the joints aren't very strong and parts seperation isn't great. I'm building the MG Ver Ka at the moment (spoiler; it's better!)

if u just started to get into gundam u can get the HG RX-78-2 Revive kit, the price is pretty decent for beginner as well as the build difficulty. If u come from some Gundam related anime, I'd recommend find the HG version of your favorite kit in the show. Have fun!

Start from 30 Minute Missions, they are cheap and easy enough to know if you really want to give a try first. Then move on to HG Gundam kits.

The gundam 00 series would be a good series to start off with especially the new MG releases but it might be a bit pricey

If your in the US and have a hobby lobby near you can use a 40% off coupon of the kits I've seen there I would recommend the hg moon gundam or rg crossbone gundam

DOIT! Start off with a line you prefer in accordance to what you might do with it later (Eg pose, or play). HG [Mostly Play]- takes up the least amount of space, bang for $ and has the most variety. Limited detail. Some units only available in this line. Stickers (Yuk). $25-~ Other brands roughly scale to this.

5:17 The inner frame shins (lower legs) are solid metal DIE-CAST parts. It's like a Version 1.0 MG with metal. Only a few kits come with die-cast parts. Like the PG Wing Zero EW

What I like about the old kits in the late 80s to early-late 90s were the box art... honestly those images are masterpieces... Im more keen on collecting them with their kits untouched.. Modern art was good too but those classic box art was display worthy..

Have you no idea how far model building really has come? Dude, all the best models require glue or epoxy. Especially high detail resin kits. Back then, Anything that was snap together was considered NOOB. Personally, I glue Gunpla kits so they don't crack the paint job.

And the back axle that's too wide so the back wheels are moving side to side. Oh well. Glued and painted it looks great, but those chrome parts are not good.
