Good! The less traffic the better, and the quicker it can move. Don't like it? The move out of London and face the same thing in the suburbs. So suck it up (fumes and all) going by your whinging comment, you're a right wing Tory that doesn't believe in the democatic right to have a peaceful protest that gets riddled with extremist right wing followers intent on disrupting the rule of law. The Mayor of London, even when right or left wing, will still do everything to improve London, including cutting down on emissions. So even if you hate what the current Mayor is doing, a right wing one will do exactly the same.

State Opening of Parliment! It's lovely to see the Navy and RAF also on parade, very smart indeed. Grand bands. The horses that were ridden by the senior officers of the Welsh Guard were magnificent. Interesting to listen to the police radio chatter too. Thanks for sharing.

For hundreds of years, the riderless horse has been used in military parades to remember fallen soldiers. It's a symbol of cavalry or mounted troops who have died in battle...also used in funerals.

Excellent video. Adding to other comments, I also loved the radio message at the end saying "Missing a HCMR (Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment) helmet" We saw a couple of troopers without helmets. The message went on to say: "If anyone sees a shiny and pointy helmet please grab it and let us know" ...overall a wonderful spectacle.

Yes I heard that I had to go back to spot the 2 without helmets lol 😂 I was too busy watching the riderless horse to see if someone was going to grab him. Hopefully the rider is ok!! They will be SO embarrassed it happened on the big day & not in rehearsals!! But horses are unpredictable never know what is going to scare them. Mine seem to choose the most random things, can be something they go pass every day but today looks like it’s going to eat them lol 😂

Absolurely no-one can do this "pagentry better " it also makes me so very proud to be able to see this. when I was growing up we had to go to the "cinema" to see such sights . When I was only 15 years oif age I also sat in the visitors gallery in the House's of Parliament to hear the debate on the Government removing the last product of the the rationing we had endured throughout the war years initally it was onlky 2 ounces a week and then later on to 3 ounces, I wonder what present day people would cope with that today.

None of the younger generations could cope with rationing. I was born three years after the war and some rationing didn't stop until 1953. The younger generation couldn't cope with lockdown. My Mum used to feed me the cheese allowance and I grew up hating cheese. Can't stand the stuff.... Love the pageantry. Best wishes. Lynda 🇬🇧

As a American who love watching the British put on such beautiful parades...but do the horses get spooked sometimes? It look like one or two are ready to start galloping off. Its take a rider totally in control to calm and control these magnificent animals.

Interesting to see HM King Charles being postilion driven and not from the box by a single coachman. This proudly Anglophilic American once traveled to London back in November, 2009 just to stand on Whitehall to watch this fabulous ceremonial display and catch a glimpse of HM Queen Elizabeth II and HRH The Prince Philip make this journey to Westminster. At the time, HM was driven from the box, so I'm curious to learn how such a change is decided. Many thanks to a wonderful channel.

Different carriages have different ways of being driven. The Diamond Jubilee state coach was built without a box, and was always intended to be postillion driven. The gold coronation coach though was originally built to be driven from the box but was later changed to be postillion driven. The carriage following the King and Queen was the Glass Coach, called that because of the big windows. Usually used by Royal brides. Followed by State Landaus, all always box driven. The mews also has Semi State Landaus and the basketwork Ascot Landaus, which are always postillion driven.

My visit to the Royal Mews behind Buckingham Palace was well worth the price of admission. Carriages, including the massive Coronation Coach can be viewed up close. Highly recommend. Cheers

Yes Remembrance Day is a saturday this year! I’m in Australia so haven’t heard if the protest is still going to happen on that day! Hopefully not or they are re-routed to not interfere with any of the memorial services at the cenotaphs around the city! Maybe it will start after the ceremonies!

circa 53:00 mins there is a loose horse. Tacked up , but riderless. That seems strange and potentially hazardous. Do we all remember recently, horses panicked after builders dropped heavy debris in their near vicinity. Some guards were unseated in Hyde Park, some further away. One grey (white) horse ran into a stationary bus (no idea why) on a quiet road, causing bad injuries and damage to the bus; and some riders and horses were injured.
