Who would have guessed Middle Tn has one of the rarest 'Cuda Collections in the world. Today we check in with one of our regulars that has a great collection of MOPARS. From the 'CUDA's to the Demon, Lester Bentley has quite the MOPAR addiction and it all started because of a great story he tells on this episode. Plus he shares a few tales of cars from his past that have had a huge impact on the car guy he is today.
Produced by Besquared Media
Music by Bbar
Special thanks to Lester Bentley and Daylan's Designs

MoPar stands for Motor Parts. The parts division of Chrysler Corporation. Plum crazy is the Dodge name for FC7. Plymouth was called In Violet. SMH.

A friend of mine has a friend that him and his dad collected Mopars all their lives although his dad has passed at this point but he has a collection of well preserved all original Cudas, Challengers and Chargers that I've been bugging him for years to take me over so I can see them. My uncle had a 70 R/T Challenger convertible exactly the same colors as that convertible his was Plum crazy with white top and white interior with a 383 and 4 speed but unfortunately it was totaled.

Good to see Lester ! I know him, I bought some road runner convertible parts from him back in the late 80's he had a panther pink challenger T/A back then! Great video! Glad to see Lester again! MOPAR comes from MOtor-PARts Chrysler started stamping on their parts and the name stuck.

I suggest not doing anymore videos until you have better audio equipment/technique. The camera operator is far too loud, compared to the other faint voices. I couldn't hear much of what the old guy had to say. I can't believe this collector didn't know the origin/meaning of Mopar. It was originally written MOtor PARts. It became kind of a contraction, "MoPar". It was a brand of replacement parts like Motorcraft. Eventually it became associated with the brand of car instead of specifying Dodge, Plymouth, or Chrysler, it meant any Chrysler product.

This video was a few years ago. We definitely have some proper equipment now, but thanks for bearing with us on this video. There was so much cool stuff in this guys garage it was hard to capture it all with the gear we had. Thanks for watching and we appreciate the comment.
