Sidhu was technically solid player and hence an opener. His avg in both forms is over 40 which is really good those days then you had top quality pace bowlers and no Bangladesh and a strong Zimbabwe. But he was slow runner and lazy fielder.

After 1996 world cup everything changed. Now average players also getting more caps bcoz of busy schedule . At age 31 Navoj Singh Siddhu was playing under 100th match even debuting in 1987 world cup.
