RARE! Otis Series 1 Hydraulic Elevator with Series 5 controls at WakeMed Parking Garage in Cary, NC.

Video Recorded on July 29, 2022: Wow! I've NEVER seen a basic Otis Series 1 that has a Series 5 controller built into it! Just like any Otis Series 1, you might think it just plain basic, but think again! Upon entering the elevator cab and selecting a floor, I clearly a chime from an Otis Series 5 like literally on a Series 1. Not only that, but you can clearly see a Series 5 floor indicator retrofitted over the Series 1 indicator on top. Aside being a basic elevator, this is definitely by far the most rarest and unique finds of all times. I'm sure many people who live or visited Raleigh filmed this as well. Installed in 2000 (controller most likely updated at a later time).

it kinda looks like it was modded from a series 1 into a series 5 but retrofitted the new indicator into the old one. that is very nice and rare!

WOW! That’s a neat Otis elevator mix! I’ve NEVER seen anything like that before! Otis Series 1 retrofitted with a Series 5 indicator, floor passing beep, and Fire Service added on, cool! Those Otis Series 5 components was mostly added on in the 2000s. I have filmed elevators in Hospitals with My Guide Dog during this time, but I have reasons to be there obviously.

I've always loved the Otis Series 1 through 4 hall lantern chime on a Series 5, but I've also never heard of the 2 being mashed together. Who knew this would exist? Great find!!

I don’t know why Sony decided to cancel the TX30 several years ago, it seems like it would still be successful today if Sony decided to just decided to lower the price of it.
