Rare Photos Of Empress Alexandra Feodorovna's Pregnancy

Here are some rare photos of the Last Empress of Russia Alexandra Feodorovna who was the last Empress of Russia as wife of Emperor Nicholas II from their marriage on 26 November [O.S. 14 November] 1894 until his forced abdication on 15 March [O.S. 2 March] 1917. She was a favorite granddaughter of Queen Victoria UK, she and her immediate family were killed while in Bolshevik captivity in 1918, during the Russian Revolution. In 2000, the Russian Orthodox Church declared her the Passion-bearer of Saint Alexandra. Photographs of a royal pregnancy were rare at the time. We are fortunate to have these images today.

She truly was the unsmiling Empress. She had a childhood filled with loss and mourning and even though she adored Nicholas and their children she could not achieve happiness or peace. Her son Alexi was a hemophiliac and often very ill, but it was more than that. It seemed like she sensed the danger they were in and feared the end that they eventually suffered. Thank you for the amazing photos of a world that once existed.

We have to understand that smiling in pictures was not something that was common at that time, it was a relatively recent practice.She was smiling, but she was often shy. She was never a cold person. She had a heart of gold, but she suffered a lot in her life because of the loss of family members when she was a child, her son’s illness, and her suffering from chronic diseases such as sciatica, thyroid disorders, and heart problems, so it is difficult for A woman who has lived through all this should smile a lot but she smiled as we can see in the pictures.They also knew that their end would be terrible because during their lives they received many prophecies about the way they would die in horrible way .

But the saying spread that he was short because he was always accompanied by soldiers, especially Grand Duke Nicholas Nikolaevich, who was very tall, his height was 6'6, so when the Tsar was near him, he seemed short.🙏❤️
