My favourites! Oh, God, how much I do love Alan and David! Pure geniuses of performing. Thank you so much for the video. I'll save it for sure. Remember, Mr. Suchet attended Mr. Rickman's funerals. What a great shock his death turned out to be for me

the funny thing is: the vid is just a copy of the stuff I originally posted on the board (including the falsely captioned captain swing pic, lol). it was you BTW who noticed my mistake and put the caption right. well, the poster here has no Dawn to help her ;)

Do you have to add Snape and Poirot? People are not stupid.

Too bad this film was never made! - Scuttlebutt from the Spermaceti Press, March 2001, reported Catherine Zeta-Jones "is considering" making a film loosely based on "The Sign of Four" that also focuses on a secret love affair between Holmes and married member of the aristocracy. Alan Rickman "is tipped" as Holmes, and Gabriel Byrne as Watson. The script is currently "being developed," with a view to start filming next spring.

I wish I could see the 1976 play or at least Alan Rickman as Holmes in the movie you're talking about!

@@lizbennetgenova HBO filmed a production of this play in the early 1980s with Frank Langella as Holmes. You can part (all?) of it on youtube.
