Good to see you RJ! Have you ever seen a bike that you can steer the rear wheel with the seat tube? I had one as a kid in the 70's. I don't know the name of it. I don't even know if it had a name because I've only ever see the one. It had a pin that held the seat tube to the frame. When you pulled the pin it allowed the rear wheel to pivot using the seat to steer. It had a heavy spring that maintained the alignment and only allowed so much flex so the chain would not be fouled. But you could get some incredibly tight turns on that thing using both the front and wheel turning. I had alot of fun on that bike. Haven't ever seen one like it. It didn't look custom. It looked manufactured. I'm sure it must have had a name. I could probably look it up but I'd rather use the time watching RJ the Bike Guy videos on KZbin. Love that guy!❤🙋

Great to see you are back in action! You mention this piece of equipment is not going to be part of your collection. Would like to see a future video where you show off your collection! I've seen all your videos from the get-go and am pretty sure you've never shown it. Thanks for all your great detailed explanations and hope you are in full recovery. Mr. Featherstone.

A local bike shop close to my old house had that very model and did a custom bike fit for me back in the early 90's

I used one at Bike America in Overland Park Kansas back in the mid 90s. I was really considering getting a road bike and I was measured on one of these Serrota fit bikes! Cool piece of history there man!

Man what a cool piece of bike manufacturing tech! I really hope a frame builder ends up with it, It would make working with a customer to create a custom frame so much more intuitive

What an awesome find! So much tech in fitting these days, but this nails it with every adjustment you'd want to tinker with in a classic analog fashion. Have you considered seeing if any fitters in your area were interested, or just posting it for anyone to grab?

I never knew fit bikes existed until now. That bike would be a great item to display in a bike shop, getting people talking and signing up for a bike fit.

If I could afford something like I would absolutely buy it! Unfortunately shipping from the USA to Sweden usually costs more than the item.

I just got a bike fit yesterday and my fitter has a new £15000 !!! Jig (definitely paying him too much), this seems so simple by comparison and yet would do exactly the same job. I was being fitted to my own bike, so I didn't even get to sit on the bloody thing 🤣

RJ that is super cool! There are other stickers on it. Are you sure it’s Serotta? BTW we just sold an S&S coupled Serotta with travel case on eBay. Checked and the starting price for Serotta is now $10,000. Good luck with your sale. Fred from RCB.

Have you ever tried it out for yourself RJ, to fine tune your own bike fit? If so, did you end up changing the bike(s) you were riding? Since I've never had a bike fit myself (not a real one anyways), nor something like this to play around with myself, I was just curious... thanks for showing it.
