ISDERA or Ingenieurbüro für Styling, DEsign und RAcing (Engineering company for Styling, Design and Racing) in Hildesheim, Germany. Hand-built by a small team of craftsmen, and the only way to purchase an Isdera is to call the CEO directly. Each vehicle is custom built for its buyer, and a waiting period of six months.

Ok, i like ferraris and lamborghinis, but my true love is those small companies that make so unique and rare supercars... orca, isdera, arrinera, marussia, b engineering,barabus, and many more...it needs a lot of guts to build a supercar from the beggining, even when using a branded engine...

Isdera's CEO actually worked for Porsche and Mercedes before he started his own company, after just casually building his own car in his own garage, drove it to the factories of these brands, was hired by Porsche first, and later designed the Mercedes CW311. The man is a genius.

I once did spot an Isdera 'immediately'! I saw an Isdera Imperator on the Nuerburgring website and thought I'd love to see one in real life but then I looked at how many were built (30 between 1984 and 1991) and I thought I had no chance of seeing one especially as I live in Britain. I saw one for real 8 HOURS later in a classic car dealership 30 miles from my house! There was no advertised sale price. One sold at auction for 4 million euros in 2014 I think.

I know what you mean! I don't normally count cars that I see at dealerships or events or museums as that is 'cheating' but I make an exception for something as rare as the Isdera Imperator as collectors usually buy them and then put them under covers in a heated garage and don't use or barely use them until the next concours event or even the next buyer! I prefer to see the cars on the road and I hardly ever go to car events.
