I remember hearing this song on the Junior Jet Club program on British Airways in 1980 when I went on holiday to Australia (where I am now living since emigrating in 1982). Great song!

Same here. I could remember all the words, it was scary how I forgotten most of my youth and can remember these lyrics, I could not even remember who sang it and thought it was Chas & Dave.

the wurzels- a country band from somerset, they write all their own music and lyrics and are still around to this day

The chorus does seem to use the same tune as "Hickory Dickory Dock" and "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo"
