I was thinking exact same thing! Not a bike guy but a beautiful collection, and an awesome wife, I have two muscle cars, told my wife I wanted a third (because once you have one you pretty much want them all) and she was ready to publicly castrate me

Good Lord!! I'm not a huge bike guy but this video was fascinating! She has a museum inside of her house. I can't even imagine what all of that is worth. Got to be in the 7 figure range. Especially that 1911 Harley

Weirdly i've seen 1911 harleys in very good condition for less than 25k. A lot of collectors just aren't into them it seems.
@WorldwideDarts Жыл бұрын
I was looking them up and I'm pretty sure one of them set a record selling for $935k. I'm not sure if it was the 1910 or 1911 but that's some crazy money. @@Cnhaddock

Walter was a great person, who would share stories, and gave the greatest advice on ANY bike. When you went to his shop, you had to set a few hours aside to hang and chat. He is sorely missed, but I'm sure he rides on in Heaven..

WOW is an understatement and what an amazing wife keeping that history alive. Times like this i hope places like "wheels through time" see things like this as they could potentially help her move on the bikes to museums etc if that's what she wanted, cause that is always my concern when some people pass away the amazing things they have get lost to time or sold for nothing. Thanks :)

I absolutely LOVE her. The whole while, it was like listening to Cyndi Lauper, queen of the motorcycles. Her knowledge of the details about each car and bike. Sounds like she and her late husband had a great life together, doing things and going places they both enjoyed and she has all the rich memories of that life. Well done!

I used to work at a motorcycle shop in California that specialized in vintage British bikes and flat track race bikes. Through that job, I got a chance to see an amazing collection. The 1926 HD 'Boardtracker' doesn't look like something that started out as a competition motorcycle -- it's also had some modern modifications made to it that make it perhaps a bit more ridable but would negatively impact the bike's originality and value. No track bike of this period had a clutch - they were all direct drive. Someone has adapted that clutch pack to the bike. The frame and tank looks correct, but HD's factory racers of the period were 8 valve head models with open exhaust ports -- no pipes -- this motor looks like a sidevalve of earlier vintage. The competition bikes of the period for the Boards also had rigid front ends - this one has a small telescoping section and spring. Boardtrackers also had ribbed racing tires -- the knobbies would have been more appropriate for a dirt flat track bike. It's a cool motorcycle for sure, but it feels like something that somebody put together from bits, not a bike that left Milwaukee that way. :-(

My lady, I am sorry for your loss. Judging by this collection, he was definitely an interesting man. I am thrilled to listen to your knowledge of the cars and bikes in your collection. seriously puts a big ol' smile on my face. You just rattle off details and years as easy as saying "the sky is blue with a few clouds" ...that is just amazing to me. I am the same type, my friends always tell me that I'm nuts when I point out some car or bike fact. I readily admit to being nuts but "that's still a 1964 Panhead next to that 1962 unibody Ford.. isn't it", usually quiets them down for a bit... Anyways ...You my Friend -- are an Amazing Soul-- I have never met you but, I am sure that I love You. Thank you for the generosity you've shown... by opening up your home, to show this wonderful collection to the world. I really enjoyed the diverse nature of the collection. Gotta say, I'm having a little garage envy out here ..and the 9 foot ceilings in my basement hmn..they don't feel quite so special anymore either.. LOL Again thank you for sharing your collection.. much love to you and yours keith

I know the boroughs are part of NYC but when people refer to it in this context I think they mean Manhattan. Plenty of classics in deep Brooklyn, Bronx, Queen, and Staten Island. Find me stuff below 120th St that someone will actually show you. Occasionally you catch a glimpse of something as a brownstone garage closes but most don't want you to know they have it. Stuff parked in Meat Packing outside the club doesn't count. Awesome story, collection, and people though!
