You have the correct shock towers. A JRX2 was my first RC purchase as a kid. I distinctly remember assembling it; leaky shock seals and all, followed by disappointing performance of a light slappy front end.

My diff welded solid on the first run, I found i couldn't get parts so it went into storage (had parts on order for months, I doubt the shop ever put in the order). When I went looking for it a few years later my dad informed me he had thrown out all my RC "toys".

Nice updates on the Losi and others. You're right the Madcap is more beautiful in real than in pictures. And with Hicap, it finishes it 😊 I think it can bare a few scratches 😉

Runnin longer/jrxt shocks was a thing in the yr before the jrx pro came out. I recall Jack Johnson, Ron Rossetti etc doin that. Natually AE did this with reverse towers as well. This came as tracks were still rough (and gettin rougher) and jumps started coming. -U10

The rear shock mounts should have a 1 long screw through each with a Nylon nut holding the shock on.

Have some good news, I'm pretty sure the early JRX2 doesn't have a front bumper added to the chassis. You can remove the front bumper you installed if you like.

Correct, the JRX2 didn't come with a bumper, and honestly it looks better without it. There was an optional one but not really needed IMO.

I’m remembering mine with this build 😍 FYI if you’re going for originality those are probably Junior Two steering arms originally The one arm was thinner and they were both black in color the common upgrade was basically the one’s you have but were a red color same as the red for the red solid wheels of the Pro the ones that say “Team Losi” around them but those like the stock wheels you have were available in different colors also original tires were step pin rears like on the mini version

The upper rear damper mounts should be like your fronts with longer screws and nylon nuts. Also the front mounts for the rear swing arms are also body mounts, you need holes in the side pods.

Yes shock tower is correct. BTW the JRX2 never had a front bumper so save you money. Bumper came out on the JRX Pro Rear tyres not correct but original tyres probably impossible to find

The rear shock tower is the later JRX2 version. The original rear tower didn't have the 4 large holes, same shape though.

Early rear shock towers are solid plates with no holes cut out, that’s why it looks like that in the manual. Early motor plate doesn’t have “JRX2” engraved on the rear either.

Why do you think Losi never released the JR in a 1/10th? Seems like an easy cash cow. Look at what AE is doing with the RC10's varieties on the market now. The Mini JR is crap.

No clue as it makes zero financial sense and I can’t imagine how much income Losi missed out on not going 1/10th. The JRX2 Mini is now on sale discounted as units are sitting on the shelves.

Losi has publicly stated why they haven't re-released their vintage cars in 1/10th scale, they don't want to screw over collectors. Don't know if that is the actual reason, but that was their public statement.

@@hereismyusername007 I guess they have to put out some sort of statement, but personally that doesn't sound like a great reson to me. I don't think the collectible JRX2 market is even that big to worry about "destroying". I should just email Gil.🤣🤣🤣
