You gotta love Whitney's realness I never heard of a celebrity ever speak like Whitney about idolizing others she did not believe in that and not putting people on a high pedestal like she said because you may be disappointed when you find out your favorite celebrity not what you thought they are that's what I really love about Whitney her honesty and she always was straightforward she did not hold nothing back she had the whole entire package I mean beauty classification and a heart of gold, one of the most angelic sweetest voices of all time its like God Himself touch Whitney with her voice and he blessed her well every single interview of whitney I love it because you really get to know her and not judging her by the media but getting to know the real person that she truly was and she was different from the others she was one in a billion and no one can ever and I mean ever take her place she truly missed and love forever!!!!!!

What she's saying here is common sense . I'm a pro musician myself and never gave a shit to talk to any notorious ppl like Pat Metheny, George Benson, Herbie Hancock etc. Simply because they're MUSICIANS just like you. Fans are afraid they don't have much to tell them and i feel them in a way (apart from the idolizing thing). What would have been interesting to me is having a conversation with her without all the gang around, which obviously couldn't happen. She was a gorgeous next door girl she tried to maintain through her life . If you read between lines she hated all of that fame circus and the reason why she kept saying she's a "normal" person in every single interview, so her statements make sense.

I'm convinced by 2009 she was replaced. yes I'm serious. her shoulders her nice and petite. in 09 she seemed taller and shoulders wide, face similar but different structure and a lisp, and inferior vocals. 4 get the media. I know what I hear and see in the Holy Spirit. folks believe what u will but I see it. +Terrence Malbrough I disagree with you. Whitney had a lips in her later years because of a lot of dental work. Many of her teeth were replaced. Whitney also had several cosmetic surgury and her voices changed a lot over the years because of ageing and lifestyle choices (smoking). Whitney was the same all to end in 2012. She was a hard working, kind and loving person who did so much good for other people and sang with the greatest female voice in our lifetime. RIP Whitney.

@@churchnelly548 She knew her talent was god given and she knew the affect's she had on the people who supported her but like she said everything comes at a cost. The self destructive behavior was her way of wanting all the fame and fortune to be over subconsciously. She was very aware what she was doing to her voice but somewhere along the way she wanted to escape and alleviate her internal struggles more than she wanted to sing so the drug addiction continued to get worse. Escaping her reality was her number one priority, not her voice or career.

Michele Simms-Burton well she started doing drugs with her brothers in the mid-80s right around the time it met clive. i'm whitneys biggest fan and i feel like he definitely pushed her but he did not start her downward spiral. everything just went downhill publicity and critically when she got with bobby. bobby didn't use any hard drugs except for alcohol and weed until he met whitney. while they both were deeply in love, they were toxic. i love whitney more than anything but those were her choices but her death was just not right. people said she looked better than ever before her death- and on the autopsy (opposite of beliefs) she was alive before she drowned so that means she didn't have a heart attack from her undiagnosed heart disease like her mother and many others believed. i believe her death was staged because she didn't drink often and she didn't like it but there were wine bottles all over making it look like she drank lots. and there was white powder everywhere? that's just not something whitney would do and combine all those drugs meanwhile she sang gospel a couple nights earlier. something with the people around her (including evil pat houston who changed the story many times) knew what happened and killed her.

Today we don't even have 1/2 of her in singers today. THAT WAS RAW NATURAL TALENT AND GOD gave her to us. She said "singing is like speaking". Whitney became so big so fast the BODYGUARD blew her up. NOBODY is prepared for that kind of talent. She was very young told what to do what to sing. ON ANYBODY that can take a toll. She was an addict and anybody who just dabbled in drugs when they were young try getting a endless amount of money, people always in your business. It came to the point that she was famous for the tabloids ..IT WASN'T ABOUT THE MUSIC ANYMORE. People calling her family offering money to talk about her. Her father going on camera and saying shit (that broke her heart). The business can be cruel.DO YOU ALL REALIZE THAT WHEN SHE DID HER FIRST AWARDS SHOW HER AND HER MOTHER WERE BACKSTAGE AND ALOT OF KNOWN CELEBRITIES didn't want to speak to her because that's how showbiz people are .Clickish but she showed them didn't she!!!!!!! I was always impressed by her proper use of grammer when she interviewed. Now I'm sure she wasn't so militant about it while at home with friends or family, but it goes to show that she was very cognizant of presenting as the educated young woman that she was with just enough intellect & thoughtfulness in her answers. The press probably really enjoyed interviewing her- the ones that knew how to really do their jobs & not fumble around in nerves from being unprepared or star struck. Fantastic interview in my opinion.

Your girl seemed so relaxed in this video. Whitney, aside from being the greatest female voice and most awarded performer with those still unbeatable 7 consecutive #1 hits, was really just the girl next door. She had her strengths and she had her faith along with her weaknesses and demons, like all of us. I wish she had somebody who loves her through everything. No, I am not knocking Bobby and have nothing against him, but I wish she found a man who perhaps wasn't in the industry who would look past her image and see her as sweet and vulnerable Nippy. I wish her story played out differently than what it did but it was all in God's plan. The greatest, most brilliant and beautiful singer to grace our eyes and ears. Whitney had no clue how things would end for her and her daughter, jealous people all around her even family members we are still clueless how she died..to many questions..and Clive Davis what was his part in her death.i wonder if he had a life insurance policy on Whitney?.I think a law should be passed to make it public who had insurance policies taken on them I don't believe that CeCe Houston was Whitney Houston biological mom

Whitney always reminded me of a deer in the headlights in interviews. She seemed jittery at times. And in some footage on red carpets always seemed to be looking over her shoulder, or a bit scared. While others like Madonna, just pitch up and demand the room. (but sadly with only 1% of Whitney's talent). Whitney was more down to earth and shy, and she didn't need to announce herself like other stars did. Her voice spoke for itself.

It wasn't about being married to Bobby Brown , I realize after watching many interviews with Whitney she felt the lost of her father and didn't care any more not realizing how fast her life became out of control and got away from her . She thought she could and couldn"t get it back to where she needed it to be .

Fame and fortune always comes at a price, nothing you want in this life is free. The shady side of the industry, the media, the criticism is the price she had to pay for becoming a global superstar and Whitney was right, she had a lot more to pay. This was only the beginning.

This is what happens when record labels changes you into something they're not. They'll give you an image that they feel is suitable to the masses and one with mass appeal who can easily cross over globally. You become a product that's marketed and sold Not allowing the artists to be themselves. How much longer can they go around being a fake and phoney person who were created. Whitney was a tortured soul being pulled in every direction at the same time. I think she was tired of being this puppet on a string in which Clive Davis was controlling. From her hair to her wardrobe was

Clive Davis certainly knew all about selling records to the broad masses. If you're part of a record company, I think it's valid to say that you're a manufactured product. You're a product and you're in the business of selling a product.

I still think that Whitney & Michael Jackson should've MARRIED EACH OTHER and started their own music label TOGETHER! Then they could've started selling records for THEMSELVES! They could've also BRANCHED OUT into other areas of entertainment. Whitney was getting into producing movies during her career but she let her marriage to Brown hinder that. Now if she had DUMPED Brown back then and HOOKED UP with Mike, they could've put their resources TOGETHER and TOTALLY DOMINATED as a celebrity TEAM! Yeah, those two ICONS would've been the 'Beyoncé & Jay-Z' of their pop music generation!! Who else agrees with me?!

Hey, you obviously don't know what you're talking about, Denzel has been HAPPILY MARRIED to his wife, Pauletta for MANY YEARS now. It's like I've been saying for DECADES, Whitney was DESTINED to be Michael Jackson, the KING of POP's CONSORT, which I believe she is NOW in RETIREMENT!! Together, those two LEGENDARY songbirds are raising a SHOWBIZ DYNASTY of their own!!

For goodness sake, so wonderful that the Houston family was helped by a friend, who is has learned expertise, namely record producer, Mr. Clive Davis. I don't know how to absolutely not, so I won't. Recently, learning all of God's Children in need helped by God raising the Houston name, my heart was deeply touched by, yes, the Teen conference, of course... also, the God Given thankful participation in Christ, harmonic musical symphonic simply beautiful, where Grace reaches to Earth for each of us. ~ I'd like not to get into specific devout things, for a personal reason. Families, Friends, different degrees of Companionship acquaintances, with Neighbors are holistically the parts of society which every single hall, facet, & venue comprises. ~ We all know in some ways the abstract, 'socioeconomic status,' but we also know, we are each down to Earth. (i.e. had it been the case that Mr. Joe DiMaggio sponsored family member workers for 'Mr. Coffee Maker,' it is conceivable, someone over the railing could say, 'why'd ya strike out Mr. Coffee, or great catch Joe, with Godly affection.) We each do this during our life time, when Grace gives someone in the neighborhood, or in any way a public testimony of truly caring for God's Beloved Children, as part of their Testimony. ~ So, a long time ago, around the turn of the century, (it's been that long?), I pretended to sing a duet, Joseph & Whitney of "I Will Always Love You." I didn't follow her career that much, but had some knowledge of her work for God's Beloved Children. Every once in a while, with Grace Led Inspiration, out of the blue, (i.e. Paul Newman of 'Hole in The Wall Gang' summer camps for vulnerable God's Beloved Children), I start to see more of a public personalities God Given Testimony. ~ I'd rather not quote a personally known poem, "Forever Embrace," similar to a "Shrug & A Hug," or "Ripples On and On," as I personally think it is best to honor God's Beloved Children, with naming some recent Devout Songs of Charity. "My Love Is Your Love," "Step By Step," & "I Look to [JESUS] You," are three of the main ones, recently. However, I know, no matter where in Heaven, no matter how distant apart, Joseph and Whitey will see one another's God Given Hearts. "Face to Face in a Place, Time, Where," in the Holy Undiscovered Country, where God and Only God, God Came Back, never left anyone an orphan, & God's The 'Wheat' Beloved Children are. Conscience doth make steadfast prayers of one's own God Given Testimony. ~ God's Impartial Complete Well Being, have a wonderful morning, noon, or night as the case may be.!
