Brilliant solution to prevent muffler damage to the bag!!! Those bags are gorgeous.

Thanks! I thought that was a pretty clever solution myself. LOL

Had a look at his site, very nice stuff to be fair! That's proper craftsmanship! They look bloody fantastic on Sophie :) Great video!

Thanks, man. I really do like his stuff and it's always cool to support artisans. Especially with everything that's going on now.

@@withPercy Absolutely, if I can I always prefer to go to small, non-franchised shops. It's way better for everyone involved.

Awesome video. I have the same bike! Love your videos? Is that an aftermarket tank?
@withPercy3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Greg. No... that is just the stock tank. Nothing special there.

Hello Percy, i can make another pair of holes in it to hang it higher. The other pair can be closed with rubber knobs. Rouven

I think that would be a perfect solution!

Looks like a great high quality product. The stock exhaust on the Fatbob (at least to me) is kind of pain for baggage etc.
@withPercy4 жыл бұрын
Bags for the Fat Bob is probably the most difficult thing to get a good solution for if you are keeping the upswept exhaust. And I have no plans to swap out my exhaust. I like that design element.

Great bags. I'll note the make down. What is the top case, please? I have never seen a box on a Harley before. And what is the fender extender?

I like your setup. What's your sissy bar and rack? I tried finding it on your other videos but couldn't seem to track it down and didn't see it on your list.
@withPercy4 жыл бұрын
Hey Seth. That's just the standard "standard height" holdfast sissy bar from HD. www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/HoldFast-Sissy-Bar-Upright-Standard-Height-Gloss-Black/p/52300454 The rack is the HD Sport Luggage Rack for holdfast sissy bars. Overpriced but it works. Here's a link to that for the Fat Bob: www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/Sport-Luggage-Rack-for-HoldFast-Sissy-Bar-Uprights-Gloss-Black/p/50300131A

Hi Percy, thanks for the Video. I have two questions: 1) Where is this plasic piece from, that keeps the distance? It was not included in my order and its not a original part of the bike. 2) Are you sure that this bolt has to be mounted on the INSIDE of the bag? This way you have to screw again to take the bag off. I guess this has to stay on the outside, stick the bag with its holes on it and use inside the bag only the splint pins?
@withPercy3 жыл бұрын
Hey Martin. I think the plastic piece you are referring is part of my HD Holdfast system for my detachable sissy bar and sport rack. That's not a part of the bags. As far as mounting, you are correct. And I wish KZbin provided a way to append to an existing video. You can mount the bags by putting the over those bolt heads and then using the pins to keep the bags on. I believe that is the way they are intended to be mounted and that allows them to be quick detachable. However, when I switched to mounting my bags that way, there was a lot of play back and forth with the bags whereas the way I mounted them in the video provided a more firm fit against the bike. Sneak Peak for an upcoming video in May... I am actually modifying the bags at the moment so that I can attach them to the Leather Pros mounting studs. I bought a set of Leather Pros to use for long trips and now I can switch between those and my Rarebags both with a quick detach mount. Woot!

Hey Ryan! You would definitely love having a Fat Bob where you are. There are some amazing roads in WV that seem made for the Fat Bob. What part of WV are you in? We ride that way quite a bit.
