Just wanted to say that was a great thing you did for Michael Mercy. That mint on card leatherneck made his day I could tell. He is a good guy and so are you. Nice act of kindness doing that. Loved him unboxing the stuff you sent in his vid. Your a stand up guy. Keep up the good work.

I adored those palitoy SAS Action Man sets when I was a kid. I had the helicopter and Key Figure, plus a multitude of equipment sets including the weapons cannister. Wish I had somehow held on to them!!! And the artwork on those sets and all the action man figure boxes is absolutely stunning!!!

Heard about that Bantha toy from UsualMikeTV. Looks like it's going to be cool! Heard some years a go after the first Star Wars played in theaters it was either at Marine World Africa USA or Sea World,they had a big life-sized Bantha on display that I think kids could sit on.

As you know, the GI Joe's in Canada and the States, became Adventure Team, after the war-toy backlash created by the Vietnam War. I was lucky enough to have English parents, and every trip to the UK resulted in me coming home with an Action Man, or having Action Man items sent over to Canada by Grandparents. I had the British Soldier with the black beret and the FN, as well as several other items. I became a bit of a GI Joe legend in the neighbourhood, by having modern military GI Joe/Action Man toys while my friends had the civilian adventure toys.

Really like your videos. That’s an awesome sculpture to have. Plus that art of the helicopter. Brilliant. Love it. I found you and Michael Mercy on the same day and have been subd and watching you both ever since. It’s great to find fellow collectors with the same passions I have about collecting vintage toys. Thanx for being awesome!

Great pieces....SOOOO Jealous Hasbro didn't mirror PALITOY and release more of these figures in the US. Maybe American kids wouldn't have identified with British ceremonial and military figures but they certainly could've elaborated on the late 60's SOTW (Soldiers of the World) line as well as the Adventure Team! Keep it coming Tony.
@billpagan30705 жыл бұрын
Wow! Those are some amazing pieces Tony! Congratulations! I know you really enjoy that line and we all enjoy learning about them. Even though I do not collect that line of figures the one I would want the most would be the outer space outfit! Figures it is one of the rarest sets! Lol Of well I better just enjoy your stuff!👍😁 Tony, do you believe that some of these sets are hard to obtain because back then kids opened up everything and played with there toys? I think the 80’s seem to be a start for a larger group of people leaving there toys in package. What do you think? Thanks Bill
@AnalogToys5 жыл бұрын
Hey Bill, usually what makes a set rare is actually it's lack of popularity back in the day. When certain sets didn't sell very well Palitoy would cut back on the manufacturing of those toys so there just weren't as many made. The Missile Assault is rare because Palitoy only produced a limited number of sets before pulling the plug on Action Man.

Question! I've got an old action man in a box somewhere, but my action man had blue fixed pants on, as my brothers had none , I never could understand why , I had the deep sea diver and found the rubber suit hard to put on a kid, then my baby sitter found some patterns and made some outfit's , the cricket one was the best , I remember that the head came loose lol, this video was a blast from the past, cheers
