What no love for the Ideal diecast toys ? I hate these are always omitted and it's all the wind up toys.

I love this Death Star. I remember my friends having this in the late 70s. Canada had these available. I have one now and thankfully got it for a steal years ago

Being in the UK I've got the Action Force Palitoy playset. Always loved it fantastic! Used to use it as Action Force's Space Force space station as I had the whole space force team and vehicles. I even made my own extended bit for the triad fighter to dock next to it. Used to attack it with my red Shadow robo skull 😁

Just found out about the drama. I am new to the hobby (OG fan), but find it exhausting (feels like high school). I understand the financial aspect of the conflict (you don’t attack a man’s means of income), but beyond that, rise above. I watched VI (once again,new), I liked that he shared the hobby with his son (you could say manipulated), but they are toys after all. This shouldn’t be a hobby for middle aged men, if you can’t get the next generation interested, it dies with us gents (just ask Harley Davidson and Buick). The youth now don’t care about any of this unless you build the interest.
@timothyward8695Күн бұрын
The pollyanna approach of rising above doesn't work when criminals like Viper Island take advantage of the passivity of victims and apathy of casual collectors. If you don't like hearing about conflicts, that's fine. Just read the video titles before clicking. Most likely reviews and retrospectives will designate those ideas in their video titles. Your mistake is trying to tell people who are victims or friends of victims not to talk about their experiences. Because when people like Viper Island are allowed to continue their behavior, these potential next generation collectors will enter a collecting community that harms them just as badly as current collectors.

@@timothyward8695 that seems reductive, like I said” maybe I’m out of the loop, or ignorant “. I just came into this 2-3 years ago with Major Blood, I was blown away, felt weird buying Joes as a 46 years old man, but I found joy in it, then I discovered the KZbin community and it made me f l like I wasn’t alone , I hate seeing our community be negative (understandable if you have bad faith players), I just wanna talk about, and here about Joes
@timothyward86958 сағат бұрын
@@breachfirearms5753 Thus my simple advice of read the titles and watch what interests you. Not trying to recruit you to a cause. Just don't stop other people from handling the hard stuff that needs to be handled.

That Autobot HQ mentioned at the end was awesome! It uses the box itself as the second floor. I mostly used it as a Cobra temple as a kid and had great times with it. Would love to see a RetroBlasting video about it.

The Palitoy Death Star is the greatest Star Wars playset ever. My cousin had the Toltoys version. Trips to his place, especially in holidays were a joy. I keep telling him he must check his parents haven't disposed of it.

There was such an explosion of toy lines and playsets in the 80's that only as adults we find out about em. And just like that kid in the 80's...still can't afford them...lol And anyone remember the space station you can build from instructions in a magazine? Wonder if anyone ever built that.

Hasbro really ought to rerelease the Palitoy Death Star with new artwork. It would have been a cool addition to the POTF2 or OTC toy lines back in the day.

Looking at them now, I can see how terrible they were. But when I was a kid back in the early 80's, I thought they were the coolest thing ever. G.I. Joe figures had better articulation and cooler looking weapons (though the arms and legs tended to become very floppy after a while). He-man had even cooler figures. They were big, brightly colored, and mightily muscled with lots of cool gadgets. And of course their arms and legs where held on by those little rubber band things. Good times.
