The problem is Konami probably thought it was the multiple rarities themselves which were a key draw in the last set and would continue to sell this one as long as there were a few interesting cards to upgrade for cool-factor. But what they failed to realize is how price-sensitive we are and that calculating set value is a thing (of which this has little)

I hate the sentiment some people are using to defend the poor card list by claiming it benefits budget players, as if reprinting a bunch of filler cards changes anything for budget players. only the featured cards (accesscode, apollousa, etc.) actually help our wallets. who needed a reprint for cosmic cyclone AND mst?? card that were already dirt cheap. reprinting $50+ cards (SP, quem, horus, chaos angel, dis pater) could've saved it, but komoney wont do that now that these shills are bending over backwards to defend this awful set. I fear there will never be another set as good as RA01

Agree with everything - also think you went soft on the criticism of the cards in the pack, you passed a lot of junk as “ok”… no it’s not ok, no one needs reprints of easily accessible 1 dollar cards, no matter how staple… your suggestions are 100000 times better

I think reprinting some 1 dollar staples is fine (because of the bling update). It’s just that there kinda stayed under the needed quantity of high demand and somewhat expensive staple reprint in relation to the low cost budget staples quantity and dud card pool to make a successful RC

But in the current format where anyone here can think 40-50 cards on top of their heads that either haven’t been reprinted or their price is sky high, there is absolutely no excuse to have qcr rescue rabbits

If it was a 100 or 200 card set more people would pull it so more would enter the market so it would become cheaper. I totalty understand no one is rumaging through 400 cards

as someone who is really looking at edison format these days, i feel its a necessary set. however, i also feel they missed big cards like caius and thunder king raioh. so for that reason I see it as a welcome sub-par set.

All of the cards you recommended were good ideas… so many cards that would have made the set so much more worthwhile and they could have still kept the dark magician and blue eyes garbage…

I am fine with Silent Magician being on here. It only has one print and usually sits around the $30-$40 range. Its a card i always wanted to mess around with but was too expensive to pick up.

Idk why people are shocked and dismayed. RA1 was an OCG direct import. Maxx C was the only card missing. This reeks of a TCG exclusive. I honestly don’t think it’s awful if you keep in mind the marketing behind rarity collection, specifically the 25th anniversary one. I mean the set is supposed to pull from cards that have been relevant the last 25 years. Anything could have been printed. Not just stuff people want for cheap right now

Agree this set is an epic disappointment. If Konami wants to make an Edison or Goat or TOSS reprint set for those formats that's cool, but this set isn't worth buying. Just get singles if you want them. Just more Konami exploiting the TCG players and continuing the HUGE COST problem for players. Not to mention the lack of faith in cards in the set when as soon as Barron got reprinted it got banned. So... should we expect Dragoon and Crossout Dessignator to be banned next?

People are delusional to think that cards that haven't been reprinted in the 2024 megetins yet to be in RC2. Why would Chaos Angel, dis pater or quem be in there, those cards are reserved to sell the 2024 megatins. Yes RC2 is a disappointment but you guys are complaining about the wrong cards nit being in there

One thing to note is that blue eyes is getting a structure deck which is launching September this year in the OCG. So that might also explain some of the blue eyes reprints Gold sarc is used in thunder dragon but colossus would’ve been the better reprint

Sry but i realy dont get the problem. You say "rarity collection is for reprint of expensive cards" you know jow many cards actually were expensive from Collection 1 ? Not as many as many people make it seem like. If you have a problem with the set you dont have to buy it as simple as that. And if you are waiting for specifc cards you know how konami handles reprint ss why are u crying ?

Don't understand why people feel disappointed by this set. What were you expecting? Rarity Collection 1 already reprinted literally everything worth reprinting. You should have known from the time the set was announced that it was impossible for it to live up to the expectations of Rarity Collection 1. Regardless it's still by no means a bad set, its

I'd argue that somewhat. The problem is they added too many eh cards and dm nostalgia cards with comparison to the price point. And there are plenty of cards that could have been reprinted that would have been great compared to what's in there, just look at the list he made, which he stated that he didn't add anything in or past agov. S:P, chaos angel, diabellstar stuff, imsety, exceed the pendulum, Vanquish soul stuff, pote cards like tear and spright cards, and more that I'm not thinking of. To say it briefly, with the doubled price, they A- missed alot of cards they should have done (which would not be enough to get all the cards that will be in mega tins) and B- they missed huge opportunities to make money with this set. If they make a double priced set, they can make massive profit if they put enough good cards in it
