Honestly, Kobolds and Catacombs was THE BEST dungeon run, period. It was just top to bottom polished to perfection. The other dungeon runs are great, but they had to rely on gimmicks to really set themselves apart from the original and best. Have to say this as well: the concept of plague lords should be legally deemed as a criminal offense. I'm actually tempted to play Kobolds dungeon run again right now. It never, ever gets boring.

I actually loved the SoU dungeon run, and the Dalaran Heist, better than Witchwood and Rastakhan Rumble (as a matter of fact, I dont like Rastakhan Rumble). The gimmicks and different archetypes were amazing, and were far better than the stupid idol. That said, any expansion that brought dungeon runs back, no matter in what format, would be the best of the next year to my eyes.

Dalaran Heist is I believe the best Dungeons run experience, you can just do Act V for a more no gimmicks run as the only thing about is that there's more bosses. I was also not a massive fan of SoU's recurring bosses as it limits replayability since you have to often commit to more than one run at a time if you want to finish it which I don't like. I do enjoy Rastakhan's Rumble but it is incredibly unbalanced, some of the totems are just so much stronger than others, same as certain bosses with the right totems can be almost unbeatable, Getting unlucky and pulling Druid or Mage on 7 or 8 is basically game over 9 times out of 10.

I tried coming back to Hearthstone (the last expansion I played was Witchwood) but there was simply far too much I had to buy to be able to have fun. However I was able to continue playing single player content and its amazing! I really wish they'd devote more time to it since its now the only reason I play Hearthstone at all.

I'll play Kobolds and Catacombs ever few years and had a few streaks or really getting into Battlegrounds but vanilla hearthstone was always sadge as by time you get all the cards via quests to complete your deck the meta is already set. Then new cards come in and you have to repeat the process. I could never keep up- I only learn about new cards from watching Chump's wacky combo videos and random additions to dungeon runs (The Lich King has his own class border now!?) So solo-adventures and for a time Wizzbang / Zayle decks are how I spent most of my time in the game- no silly grinding just hop right in.

Dungeon Run is my favorite PVE mode in HS. It really captured the feel of a roguelike RPG where you delve into a dungeon, collect treasures and encounter variety of unique enemies. It's not perfect (like I wish we had more control over the deckbuilding) but the devs should've really continued to support it. Like turn it into HS' version of Slay the Spire: a map with choices of encounters, more bosses, a tavern to edit your deck along the way, a shop and so on. Instead we got Mercenaries (which obviously took some inspiration but is more close to gacha games than roguelikes)...

I think the Tombs of Terror was where they perfected the Dungeon Run formula. Hybrid classes, unique hero powers, even more passives and far better card buckets, and unique and challenging bosses with enough meat on their bones that it gave whatever deck you built a nice opportunity to show itself off.

Dungeon runs are really strange now because they include all of the new cards, and it can create some awkward situations with the boss hero powers, but they are still very fun. I feel like it makes the witch wood one especially hard.

Dungeon runs like kobold, raztakhans rumble and witchwood as well as the later Dalaran Heist/Saviours of uldum are the ONLY thing in hearthstone that I miss since I've quit and the only thing I crave to play from the game occasionally and was one of the reasons that Rumble was my favorite expansion. I want to do another dungeon run man.

This and subsequent dungeon run style modes were my favourite content in HS ever. Can proudly say I’ve done heroic at least once with every class/hero for K&C, Witchwood, Rastakans, Tombs and Daladan Heist. Not sure how many 100s of hours it took. But it defo took a few. No shame whatsoever and time well spent.

Oh boy, the memories of playing Tombs of Terror in school, doing the "Moonfire + Jr Navigator" combo for like two hours straight because we happened to not have a class or something. Painful, but it was worth it to beat Xatma. Or roflstomping Dalaran Heist with Big Shaman. :D Or infinite value Hunter in Dalaran Heist thanks to Rocket Backpacks + Elixir of Vigor (the red one that shuffles 2 copies of every minion you play into your deck). Perfecr crime. =) (yes I know it's the wrong adventures. shut up)

I'm basically a single player Heathstone player. A lot of these single player Heathstone rouge lites are fun game modes. The first one is one of the best for sure. Probably the best. However the other ones are great too. Most of them are really fun. And no I'm not talking about mercenaries. I don't like it. I'm talking about the game modes where you fight bosses. And choose your special reward cards and sets of 3 cards and slowly build your deck as you progress. You don't need to spend any money. But I sometimes still buy card packs to support Hearthstone etc. So I'm not a 100% free player. In fact I probably still spend $200 or more per year. However I've only played PVP 3 times ever. It's not my thing. I like the single player modes a lot better. It's top tier fun.

I one played over 200 games of Dungeon run with rogue just to get the OTK combo with Rod of Roasting. Between the RNG of getting the treasure, how bad the rogue starter deck is, how bad the buckets with the combo pieces are, and just general bad luck with the bosses (like Azari just discarding the combo pieces), it was a whole ordeal. Managed to get it once in the end with a randomly generated Bloodbloom and never tried again.

Capture the Flag is literally the most OP passive in dungeon run and its not even close. Spoilers: The AI doesnt EVER take it into consideration. So if they have a 1 attack minion, and you have a 1 health minion but he's buffed to 2... they will trade and lose their minion for no reasons.

Actually, If you want try adventures "on harder side"? you can just play as bomb warrior in heroic Dalaran Heist against 12 bosses. You will have a great oportunity to see how oponents deck consists of 95% of your bombs, but still draws his cards safely. Or transform your deck with Zin Azshari thing. Or even have imunity to them.

Funny how i always defeat the LAST boss. Sometimes i think they go easy on me and spare me since 1-7 bosses always hard one for me. One time final boss had that poison mega windfurry and 10 health, i had 2 health 2 minions with 6, 5 dmg. It didn`t attack me it attacked my minions.

Dungeon Run walked so that Heist of Dalaran/Plagues of Uldum could run, in my opinion. Dungeon Run was fun but the Year of the Dragon rogue-like adventures were so full of content, charm and character that made them so much more fun for me. You're not just playing as maybe Jaina or maybe Thrall bullying King Togwaggle, you're an evil lackey causing havoc in Dalaran or a brave explorer fighting their way through desert hazards to seal an ancient evil. If Blizzard wasn't such a scummy company I'd happily return and play them again.

Dungeon Run was a great innovation in HS, but the original mode was absolutely broken. Some encounters are so poorly balanced it’s basically almost always an instant loss, like the Evolve Furbolg.

the cards offered are probably picked from the pool of current cards based on some conditions, so adding new cards automatically adds then to dungeon runs, while hero powers are hard coded to the encounter, so that kight be why cards we see change with expansions while the rest stays the same
