Westcoast OG right here. OG Raisin! Dude was also a house dancer along with Bird, Lavell and a few other folks back in '88-'91 and they would always show up to the house parties and school dances back then with the flyest moves! Bro has definitely been one of the most influential persons in west coast hip hop!! Real talk!! So much history!

This is all starting to make sense, I always was trynna figure out why Coolio and Ras Kass was so close (Coolio was in the "Miami Life" video and he was the only artist featured on "Soul On Ice") I wonder if "Evil That Men Do" song is true since Ras Kass always was getting arrested on DUI charges
@ayeoner7 жыл бұрын
Johnny X yup its true. He had vehicular manslaughter and went to jail. He actually went to jail a few more times afterwards, and it really derailed his career. His album "Van Gogh" was shelved due to a jail stint and some other album shit like sample clearances. He would have blew up from that album. He had a song using the same beat as "We gonna make it" by Jadakiss/styles p that was dope, another dope track called "TV guide"...
@quadjaysport7 жыл бұрын
I remember that and he went on the run with his masters

Seminar in the bay was the Gavin Convention. All the indie & underground artists used to show up and perform. So many dope artists, it was hella tough to choose who to see! Cool thing was they'd leave one show and go perform at another, so a show billed for 4 artists might turn into 10 by the end of the night. Had like a 3 yr run or so..
