My boyfriend came home late one night after bowling. He came home so excited bouncing up and down. And with much curiosity I asked what had him so excited. He quickly pulled out this CD, popped it in the player and exclaimed he had found our song! It was true we both had broken roads that led us to each other. We had both been married before and hurt by others. I couldn't agree with him more. We were married a few months later, we had the most beautiful wedding. Just six months after our wedding he was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. I was with him every step of the way, I went to every chemo therapy , every surgery and every doctors appointment. And after it had spread to his brain and he began to have seizures I took a leave of absence from work to be with him. And then some four and a half years later I watched him step into eternity. He was such a trooper and never complained not even once, he handled the cancer and his eventual death with such grace. The Lord knew that I needed him and he needed me and I do believe this song more than fits us. I just love this song. He's been gone for eight years now and this song still brings a smile to my face.

Lyrics I set out on a narrow way many years ago Hoping I would find true love along the broken road But I got lost a time or two Wiped my brow and kept pushing through I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you That every long lost dream lead me to where you are Others who broke my heart, they were like northern stars Pointing me on my way into your loving arms This much I know is true That God blessed the broken road That led me straight to you Yes it did I think about the years I spent just passing through I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you But you just smile and take my hand You've been there you understand It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true Every long lost dream led me to where you are And others who broke my heart they were like northern stars Pointing me on my way into your loving arms This much I know it's true That God blessed the broken road That led me straight to you Yeah And now I'm rolling home Into my lover's arms This much I know is true That God blessed the broken road That led me straight to you That God blessed the broken road Ooh, ooh That led me straight to you

The first time I heard this song, I thought I was so in love with a man that did nothing but hurt my heart and soul. Now I know that this song is really about my faith. Me and God have been walking a path together all my life. I'm embarrassed to think at the times I forgot HE was with me. He held me during my painful moments in life and cheered me on during my happy times... He's never left me. And now that I'm a little older and wiser, I never want to take my faith for granted.

I waited 50 years to find my perfect man and I went down many broken roads to get to him so this song means a great deal to me. We recently learned my husband is in stage 4 of COPD and this illness will eventually take his life so I cherish every day with him. We may have 1 year we may have 3 or even more but every time I hear this song it takes me back to our wedding day 9/7/2013 and I will always be grateful for you for recording it and singing it.

I have spent over 30 years trying to find a woman to spend my life with and I swear its not as easy as people think it is when you have a heart of Gold. Women always say good men don't exist if that were true I wouldn't be sitting here with the heart my mother spent most of her life trying to raise me with. I wish for just one moment women would realize its not as easy for us men who want to find happiness to have to be judged for the actions of other men....I am a one woman man for life and even if i have to spend the rest of my life to find true Love I will Life can try all it wants to send storms my way.....As Garth brooks once said in one of his songs.....With the good lord as my captain I will make it though them all.

Wordily pleasures for the ears and for the eyes: music, movies, sport. That kind of entertainment is given by lucifer to mankind, to keep them busy doing and knowing nothing, When human dies, he or she is surprised that he or she keeps existing. Yet the only reason for it is, they had their lifetime on earth catching delusions and illusions. Never loved the truth, never cared for it and as some used to say: 1st comes laughter, then turning of the head, then closing of the ears, freezing of the heart, then life in struggle and then regrets and cries. The last 2 shall be there forever. = the life of a ignorant fools. Creating “perfect” offspring who`s genetic DNA is mixed: human + animal + angel + inverting every soul + posses them with evil spirits = perfect spell casting, look at the public, they all sing and dance along not sensing reality. The tares and the wheat - a story in the bible. 2 different offspring, growing together, shoulder next to shoulder. The "rituals" haven`t stopped happening, these got renamed to fit the timelines: in our days, the rituals are: music concerts showing off the masonic hand sighs and symbols becoming "trans" still needed blood sacrificing (singers, actors, in need of sacrificing their loved ones and friends, later being the needed sacrifice themselves, these are knows and “accidental overdoses”). few more.

The broken road lead it back to the love of my life that I gave up on and now we find our selves back together some 12 years later. I truly regret the years I've lost with the one woman who's truly loved me more than herself. God gave me a second chance and I won't make the same mistake twice.

My ex-husband dedicated this to me when we were still dating and this song has always been so special until he had his bad relapsed and wasn’t able to come back anymore. Listening to this song brings some bittersweet memories but I would always be grateful for all the 7 years that we shared together.❤😭

This song was playing on my radio after I just picked up my boyfriend in Lexington Ky. I didn't know he was going to ask me to marry him that day. But when that song was playing he ask me how I liked that song? I told him I really liked it, and I ask him if he liked it and he said yes I do. So later that day we were at my home in Pikeville Ky. and he told me will we got our song now all is left is you say yes so he got down on one knee and ask me to marry him. We are a good friend of mind to sing that song at our wedding and everyone their loved it, it was simply but very nice at the same time. And now after each year we play this song all day and it ever gets old. Nearly 5 years of marriage and we are more in love than ever. So thanks Rascal Flatts for this amazing song. And I hope one day that you guys will come to a concern near us so you can sing this song for us. so again thanks so much.

Yes...This is me..I'm only 14 but I have been through so much and all that I have been through I have pushed through it and survived here I am stronger than i can ever be because of how my parents treated me..I know i don't have the worst life..I don't have the best life..Someone has it worse than me somewhere every day and I show mercy for them..Someone has better than me somewhere and I don't show mercy because they can be trying to help people get through rough times but at the same time I am happy for them because no one deserves be treated like a pile of crap and that is how a lot of people are treated and it should not be the case

I set out on a narrow way many years ago Hoping I would find true love along the broken road But I got lost a time or two Wiped my brow and kept pushing through I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you Every long lost dream led me to where you are Others who broke my heart they were like Northern stars Pointing me on my way into your loving arms This much I know is true That God blessed the broken road That led me straight to you (Yes He did) I think about the years I spent just passing through I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you But you just smile and take my hand You've been there you understand It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true Every long lost dream led me to where you are Others who broke my heart they were like Northern stars Pointing me on my way into your loving arms This much I know is true That God blessed the broken road That led me straight to you Now I'm just rolling home Into my lover's arms This much I know is true That God blessed the broken road That led me straight to you That God blessed the broken road That led me straight to you

My nana loves this song so much. 9 years ago she died form stage 4 inflammatory breast cancer. She stopped treatment a month before she had died. I never knew she had related so much to this song . She would hold me close even while she was dying. She fought so hard for us but she in a better place. This song chokes me up every time because this song played at her viewing. I sang it crying on her dead body holding her white jacket. I was blessed to have that woman in my life. So many of his songs bring me to tears because of him. RIP Annalee Tucker Tubbs Age 52 Livening wife, mother , and grandmother to so many. We miss you so much
