Forget the sappy lyrics and the fiddle thing. This isn't a country song. Has a very British guitar pattern and drums/bass run. More a rock tune than most Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet. Probably why you liked it. I like it too.....why I'm here.

I see a dust trail following an old red Nova Baby blue eyes, your head on my shoulder Wait, baby, don't move, right there it is T-shirt hanging off a dogwood branch That river was cold, but we gave love a chance Yeah, yeah, to me You don't look a day over fast cars and freedom That sunset river bank first time feeling I see a dust trail following an old red Nova Baby blue eyes, your head on my shoulder You don't look a day over fast cars and freedom That sunset river bank first time feeling . sSs 💤🌟. * . Gary LeVox (lead vocals), Jay DeMarcus (bass guitar, background vocals), and Joe Don Rooney (lead guitar, background vocals) kick butt on this classic. Joe is especially in top form. His guitar riffs and background vocals match seamlessly into Gary's, and the people lucky enough to be there to witness the magic should write in to express just how magical this performance was. Because I'm so jealous that I wasn't there.

This song takes me back to a time and a few different places. Life sure didn’t turn out how I thought it would back then. But I get choked up thinking about how easy life was, and I wasn’t over fast cars and freedom at the time. Time sure flies by and before you know it you’re old, angry, and caged again. Sad truth. But this son go is a taste of something sweet that can never be taken away.

I like that they're a band. They have minimal background players, the guitarist plays all the parts himself, and the bass player even plays the piano on their songs that feature it. They have a contract Drummer and Fiddle player and that's it. A rarity these days, where the record company finds a talent then gives him all the songs he's going to sing and says "oh, and here's your backing band...for this week."
