The way she yells at her dad "you made him leave!" at the beginning, the way we see a flashback of the girl asking her boyfriend what he sees in the future, the way her friends look at her in school when she's in all black and his chair is empty, the way she clutches her stomach in the bathroom, and finally the way she runs out and says "I saw you"... piece it together and it tells a subtle story of a teenage pregnancy. This video ALWAYS breaks my heart. It was formative in my youth, tbh. I still think the actress should have won an Oscar for making me cry in the first 30 seconds of the video... everytime I see it. Even after all these years.

I get the teen pregnancy idea. Though i've never taken it that way. I always just saw her as so upset she was physically sick. I've been there a couple of times in my life through Love and Lose. Where either you give in to grief to much, or you lose control and dive straight into grief and it just takes over. You end up almost unable to breath, you stomach hurts from sobbing so hard, you might of thrown up a time or two, before finally either someone brings you back from the brink, or you tire yourself out. After my now ex left me, my kid still an infant got sick, and ended up in a children's hospital. It was just an ear infection, but my kid had a high susceptibility to Febrile seizures. (seizures cause by high temperatures) I spend Christmas in the hospital with my lil one. I remember that night it was her that kept me from falling to that level of grief. The woman I love left me, left my kid at her mom's. I got a call from them about her seizure and I tor out of the parking lot a work and headed to the hospital. The transferred her to the children's hospital. *sigh* I can remember laying there with IVs in her, o2 meter on her, and so on.. she was asleep, lights were out. I had no one, all my folks were a state away. I lost it a bit. felt like my world was ending. I didn't know how I could go on. I was sobbing hard, but still hand not work my kid up. And I was about to get sick when they moved on my chest and cooed. I clamped it down and swore again like when they were born I would never leave them. I made sure they were comfy and asleep and eventually I passed out till nurses came in in the morning. Only other time i came close to that was after learning my dad has passed away. I'm not saying it can't be teen pregnancy, but just making a case that Grief can take you to being sick in the bathroom as well.

This song kills me ..every single time.... I remember the day this song came out and the day I heard it for the first time .... I come from a super small town ... my graduating class was so small ... we all went to kindergarten together..and every grade after we all grew up together...... my best friend had lupus and struggled her entire life with it...we all did what we could for her... I would give her piggy back rides to and from class when she wasnt feeling well .... she wanted to graduate and become a chef ... in Nov. Of 2006 I walked into the school and I knew something wasnt right...I could feel it ... then the counselor came up to me....she didnt have to say a word...I dropped my bags and ran ...my mom worked literally 3 buildings away and I ran there and the look she gave me...she didnt have to tell me either I knew ... ... she lost her battle at 17 ...just a few months shy of graduating... going to class after she was gone was soo hard because everyone felt that pain ... it was one of the hardest things ever ... after graduation I put my tassel on her headstone and literally 13 years later it is still there ... faded but there ..... dont take anyone for granted ...you never know what tomorrow brings ..life is still beautiful and worth fighting for

We all should hold our veterans in the highest regard. Knowing what we know now about some of the lies that got us in wars from politicians, we can certainly debate policy. Our soldiers have died and bled around the world for majority of the time, other ppls benefits. They have gone to risk their lives for others, no greater thing can be done! God bless! Her vomiting may/could be emotionally induced. I’ve seen it at funerals, PTSD trauma centers, decedent wards in hospitals; emotional breakups. He was probably her first love. Loosing him so violently, even if she wasn’t there to see it, has put her into PTSD as well. She’s probably only 16 years old or so.

This is mad! This was my favourite song like 15 years ago. The into used to make me cry every time. I can't believe some of the stuff you react to. It's all so potant in my life.

A few other country songs, that come to mind, are:"Alyssa Lies" by Jason Michael Carroll (along the lines of "Concrete Angel"), "Whiskey Lullaby" by Alison Krauss and Brad Paisley and "3 Wooden Crosses" by Randy Travis.
