Fun Fact: The tank controls were forced in by the publisher when they saw how successful Tomb Raider was. The game wasn’t designed for tank controls and the game was rendered nearly unplayable.

You should be grateful you can save on your copy of Rascal at all. A lot of copies of this game were bugged so people couldn't even SAVE THEIR GAME. They'd just get messages telling them their memory cards weren't attached even though they were.

The premise of Rascal is that the hideous time traveling bad guy wants the scientist's time machine and the bad guy summons aliens to kill rascal, rascal sees the bad guy and scientist sparring, the bad guy is trying to steal the scientists time machine to go to the past, and kidnaps the scientist to change the past, and goes into the time machine, to conquer the universe.

I got to the second level in about 40 minutes. Once you get a groove on with this game, it's pretty trippy and kinda fun for all the janky camera stuff. You just have to know how to play it and then it opens up I've found

If this game also got ported to the Sega Saturn around the same time, it would be much, much worse. Everything is darker and moves more slowly due to the Saturn's limitations.

Wait till you play Rosco McQueen Firefighter Extreme for the PS1 also from Psygnosis. It's like another Bubsy 3D where you have to rescue innocent people from a burning skyscraper while putting out fires and fighting against killer robots.

in the water you cant swim are piranhas, thus, the game creators instantly think because they are in 2 parts of the water the whole thing hurts you.

This is also not only the worst platformer I've ever played in my life, but it's also the 2nd worst Psygnosis game I have ever played after Retro Force. I used to love both games as a kid and a teenager, but after playing them as an adult nowadays, they're fuckin' terrible. I actually did manage to beat the game once long ago, and now I did it again, without losing a single life in my whole run on the game. You can watch my walkthrough to it, as I skillfully played it through. BTW, cool review

Okay, so le's get this straight; the bad guy is a TIME TRAVELER, and he attacks a scientist for his TIME MACHINE, and use it to TAKE OVER THE UNIVERSE, and he gets himself STUCK IN THE INTERDIMENTIONAL RIFT. Does that make sense? The plot of this game is completely ASTOUNDING. Everything is just a fucking mess in this game.

This Game isn't that hard, I can beat it in under three hours.
