Even 6 months pregnant this woman is a vocal powerhouse. This is from the Finnish "Heavy Christmas" show. Christmas is huge in Finland and this is a yearly tour that they do.

For a second I thought I missed out on half a year and it's Christmas time again 😅😂. Then I realized you didn't know that Raskasta Joulua translates to Heavy Christmas which is a concert tour through Finnland by various mostly finnish musicians forming a temporary band for this purpose. And they play songs that fit the season but give them a metal twist. Great reaction as always, guys.

I have so much respect to the Christmas staple in our household, the Finnish Heavy Christmas concert. Floor is seriously pregnant at the time of the filming, but her voice never deviates from the normal. As a native speaker, I can say her Finnish is perfectly workable. Not as good as years after, but the language doesn't just roll off your tongue to begin with. All I can say is A for effort, a second A for both Floor and the house band, there's a combination of people which are super tight on the rhythm.

Raskasta Joulua is a band from Finland who have recorded traditional Christmas carols and Christmas hits in a heavy metal style. "Raskasta joulua" is a term in Finnish which means "heavy Christmas" in English. The concept was founded by guitarist Erkka Korhonen in 2004. Many notable Finnish metal vocalists have appeared on Raskasta Joulua albums and tours, including Marko Hietala, Jarkko Ahola, Ari Koivunen, Juha-Pekka Leppaluoto and Tony Kakko. I don't think you could have missed Floor's pregnant belly. Glad this didn't hinder her in the least from radiating her pure energy. In any case, I didn't notice it, for me at least, it even contributed to her appearance.

LoL I usually listen to this at Christmas but it's beautiful always lol. There is another just as wonderful with her not pregnant too. Only Finland would have a very popular special where all the Heavy Metal musicians get together to sing Christmas songs. It's so awesome. You should check out more. Very cool. Floor always sings well but for this performance it's the arrangement that makes it special. There are sopranos and countertenors who can sing this just as well, if not better. Having a rock arrangement is special.

@@darkiee69 not all of them can be pregnant, you're right. Jokes aside though, pregnancy doesn't affect one's ability to sing unless you're so far along that it is interfering with your diaphragm and pelvic floor muscles, at which time I'm pretty sure you won't be performing anymore.

There is a misspell. It's Heavy Christmas in Finnish, Raskasta Joulua. Rakasta joulua would mean 'to Love' or 'Love Christmas'.

You inquired about the pronunciation of this seemingly unpronouncable word! Remember Tarja (Tarya) and Jukka (Yooka). The Nordic J sounds like our English Y, so this word is, in my best effort, "YOO-loo-oh." And this kind of immediately reveals the secret: It is the word origin of our English "Yule," meaning all things Christmas! I love word etymology!
