My first ever dividend was from the bank of Melbourne and it was for $5.00. It came by cheque in the mail and I physically took it to my bank to deposit it into my account. It took 5 days to clear so I could use the money. Today all my dividends are deposited direct into my bank account or into my brokerage account.

Mate - Australian companies are money printing machines which don’t have the competition that require reinvesting profits to grow/maintain market share like US companies. Research into a 40/60 split of VHY/VGS. That could be the high yield and growth balance you are after…
