I was born and raised in Jamaica and this is a different side of Jamaica for me, don't know anyone who lives like Mokko and his family but it's humbling to watch them and also to see how Matthew enjoys this way of life.

I was born in Manchester. When I tell you I was shocked to see this is how my family from Clarendon lived when I took my first visit for summer. They were only half an hour’s drive away but the lifestyle was like a million miles different. They spoke different. They didn’t have a stove, indoor kitchen, tv. There were always 20 ppl in the yard, gathered around just talking. People lived in & out of each other’s houses & they all borrowed food from each other. We all had to go on several runs to fetch water on a daily basis. Yo I fell deeep in love!!! 😍 Almost 30 years living in the UK I’m now moving back home. & I’m buying land right there in the bush. Not in my modern community that I was raised in, but in the bush! 🍃🌵🌴🌳

I was in Jamaca in 1983 and again in 84. I stayed in Duncan with Rasta Man, I wish I had met Mokko then. I would go to his place now but I am now 77 and on my death bed. Your vlogs brings back such sweet memories. Thanks for the memories. I'm still smoking the splits.

I take Ras kitchen with me to dialysis. I hate going and its been a task for the past 17 years. Everytime I feel depressed by having to be there, I remember that I have a tablet and phone to watch you guys anytime and any place I would like!! Ras Kitchen is my light at the end of the tunnel. I just had 3 large fried sardines fried in Cocos oil... 2 boiled green banana , with boiled yams ... I mix some fresh crushed red pepper , garlic with 1/3 Cocos oil and warm it up to use a topping sauce fi di fish seen ?.... respect to this Rasta man and bless up everyone involved in the making of this video. I want to see mokko bust open a coconut while its still green ? As in chop the husk up to center? Do a video like that. 👍👍👍
