There are some "guidelines" on my blog ( www.initial-team.com/initmaster/category/raspberrypi/ ), sorry only in french. The price depend, if you just want to play retro videogames on you TV, you just need a RaspberryPi+SDCard+USBController. However, if you want to make a full retrogaming console, this is what i buyed : - Old (broken) NES (hard to find at a good price in Europe) - Original controllers for all consoles (2x) (NES, SNES, Genesis, MS) - RaspberryPi - Heat sink for RaspberryPi (optional) - SD Card - Paint spray - Hot glue - Push buttons - Simple USB Keyboard with 6 buttons - SNES & DB9 (for Genesis and SMS) connectors (www.raphnet-tech.com/) - Extension cables (HDMI, audio jack, rj45, cinch) - Circuit for Shutdown (mausberry-circuits.myshopify.com/) All the items like cables, connectors and other small pieces can be found on Ebay (china) for a low price.

You can show the inside on my blog --> www.initial-team.com/initmaster/category/raspberrypi/ For power-on and power-off i use a shutdown circuit (by mausberry circuits) which send a "sudo halt" command to the raspberry for a proper shutdown when the power is pressed.

how did you managed to install the MD, snes and nes ports to the pi?

All controllers ports are connected to GPIO and the machine load the correct driver (gamecon_gpio_rpi or db9_gpio_rpi) just before launch the selected game. The are some additional informations and picture here : www.initial-team.com/initmaster/category/raspberrypi/

awesome! does this acept 6bt pads too? because i wanted to use a model 1 mega drive and i wanted to use the db9 ports of the console so it remains stock.
