Seems like it. I'm not sure if the "Rat", "Tat", "Zun", "Taka", "Yah", and "Hoi" are all different buttons considering each pair share the same color but if those are all different buttons, that's gonna be a bit more difficult than in Patapon. Cobuns move with "Rattat--Rattat--Rattattat" so that is already 7 buttons. Not that complicated but you gonna be pressing more than "Pata--Pata--Pata--Pon" for sure.

​@@JustJustKen my guess is it requires rolling between D-pad and face buttons to input eighth notes. Which is common in modern 4-lane rhythm games. Though it seems that Ratatan might register double tapping one of the button as a different command (Ratarataratatan vs Ratatan-ratatan)

​@@JustJustKen Patapon only needs 4 buttons on one hand to play, with two hands being optional (or unsupported, I'm not sure) while Ratatan clearly requires two hands. But it's unsure if there will be an easy mode that only requires pressing the 4 beats (Rata-rata-rata-tan) rather than all 7 beats. I suppose there is but I don't think there have been any confirmation.

So, Rata Rata Rata Tan is a "Follow" Command? Zun Taka Zun Taka Zun Taka Tan is the Attack command and Ya Hoi Ya Hoi Ya Hoi Hoi is the character skill command.

And by the looks of it, if you dont instantly press the button to interrupt the previous note, you can do other commands, by waiting for the command to play out and doing "Rata Tan - Rata Tan", they dodge at 12:50. And "Zun Taka Tan - Zun Taka Tan", seems to be a low attack or maybe its charged at 5:33.

So excited! I hope the towers get updated to crack as you near destroying them and the animation changes from a simple explosion. I also hope enemies drop items and don’t simply fall of the bottom of the screen in the final. Part of what made its predecessor so satisfying was watching the towers crack and finally collapse and to see enemies shrivel up on the battle field. I know they’re still adding dialogue but I hope the enemies and protagonists have more personality in the final product of the game. I also hope there’s a high difficulty.

Out of all the comments, I have yet to find one that mentions the boss being Dodonga 2.0 . He even does the same animation where he lifts his head and dangles his arms before breathing fire. Gotta love it.

Hopefully they add more tone variety to the vocal notes when the Ratatan sings, or perhaps that's something that happens in Fever and Super Fever? I couldn't hear but I hope it doesn't get too repetitive

I'm liking what I see, but I really hope that they put in a DON CHIN KAN HAI like in the Patapon 2 Co-Op mode to synchronize the different players. Having them being off from each other makes the game kinda look like a jumbled mess.

COOP mode in ratatan looks very interesting for me. but I felt that's too messy while each player trying to follow their own rhythm. Hope there is more info about development of ratatan coop mode later.

Also, the Patapons were created before the game by Rolito. They were used in animations in his website, Rolitoland. I think they need to add a higher range for the cobun to attack. At the moment even if some part of the army is rught next to the enemy they won't attack because the rest are far behind. Maybe even a little cobun that marks the centre like hatapon

Game play looks very, chaotic. Too many effects going on at once and its hard to see what the hecks going on. I also think the characters and enemies should be a lil bigger in side and have things to help them pop out.

You control the Ratatans, but they do not attack unlike the Cobuns when you use the “Zun Taka Tun” command.
