in the ps3 console you can play ps1, and ps2 games

hmmmmm do u have the ps3 of 40 gbs ? it might not work because its like the base on e. i have the 60 gbs and it does work. i play nfsu2 , mortal kombat shaolin monks. and other ps2 games

@crazydudedude4869704 Again, depends on the PS3. Older ones were backwards compatible. My friend plays PS2 games on his PS3 all the time. Mine, however, is not backwards compatible as i bought it a year later than him.
