I believe it's to imply this message was sent to multiple planets, and all they did was switch out the planet jpeg. But we only saw this one. So for example, there would be a video for "Hello Citizens of [Batalia.jpeg]"

I like how the background music starts off calm and friendly sounding but gradually becomes more menacing as it goes along. It reflects how Drek puts on a friendly face for the cameras but is quick to show his true colors as a ruthless tyrant.

Unpopular opinion: the original was just needlessly grotesque and vulgar. I have never found the humor of the series funny, on the contrary it has always been shallow and immature. Ratchet personality was unbearable and the initial hostility towards Clank was so forced, put there just for the sake of “relationship development” that was skin deep. You say the new Ratchet is a boy-scout and the old game was more realistic having a bad boy killing hundreds? Where is the blood then? Where are the bullet holes, where are the enemies screaming in pain, maimed and with detached limbs? The truth is that if you make a cartoonish game, the only way to go full adult is to beat the Simpsons/Griffins/South Park path and embrace adult themes, concepts and moods. R&C never did that, they stopped half way, staying in both kids games and mildly adult games lane but never staying true to none. The reboot has had the guts to choose what to be and did great at that. Under some minor aspects the original is better, but overall the reboot wins hands down. The only thing they ruined is Drek, but we got a powered up Nefarious, so I wouldn’t complain too much.
