I was a little disapointed that the following ones were turned more into ego shooter-like games, which happened due to fan requests, as I found out - for the mixture of using weapons and doing jump'n run stuff has always been what I loved most about the game. Nevertheless the other parts (I only own 1-3 yet) are very entertaining so I can still recommend them to you. =) R&C is one of the most beautifully and interestingly created game series I know!

Ive just found out about Ratchet's existence. I need to be a child again. Living in a poor village in the middle of nowhere... I was left out practically without friends and knowledge of any game all the way from 1st generation (was not born yet) to 6th generation. I don't know if that is the reason, but I want so much to play these games which are in fact designed for children. I'll stay child forever. The graphics are perfect nowadays,... the story is sometimes unpleasantly dumbed down though
