I'm glad this is happening as along with what you said about this leading to more people becoming R&C fans, and thus increase the want for more R&C games, but I just love how PlayStation Studios has been advertising Ratchet & Clank more and more ever since they acquired the series a few years ago.

The fact that Rift Apart is coming to pc doesn't blow my mind. What blows my mind is that not a single ratchet & clank game beforehand isn't on pc except through emulation of some kind. (Except the ratchet & clank ps4 game)

I was expecting both 2016 and this. This is the only one I have not played (and I mean that even played BTN and going mobile) but DAMN IT I want to play 2016 with the bouncer and 60fps. If I had to choice one I;d definety go for this one though

I have been looking at getting PS5 for a bit (for this game and others), since I have PS3 with all the R&C games but never bothered getting a PS4. Now it's on PC it changes things, and I will probably hold off on the PS5 for now, although I do kind of want to play the remake even though it's not the best, I will play RA on the PC so I still get all the main story series. Using my new ultrawide will be cool, although I may need a graphics card upgrade possibly (RX 5700) but it should run it fine I would expect. I also want to get a Dualshock controller for the proper gameply experience. This release caught me completely off guard. I had no idea this was happening and just saw the game on the Epic Store. I am surprised but glad.

The way I see it, The more Sony does PC ports, the more they'll go into there back catalogues and we may start getting PS3 titles on PC, making it easier to make a PS5 version.

I really don't think this game requires an SSD to run, they made loading zones as part of the transition. So it may not be as seamless. But it should still work regardless.

I am not exactly a PC Gamer, but I do have a pretty good gaming laptop, and I do not have a PS5. I played every R&C game on the PS3 a couple of years ago and I've really wanted to play this game ever since it came out, but I haven't been able to, because the PS5 has been so unavailable until pretty recently, and even when it has been available, it's been super expensive.

To mad it's not MAC as I wound love to have it on my laptop. More and more I'm believing he sound do an crossover with MatPat on Game Theory. If you look at all of his Sly Copper videos alone you will see manly Game Theory ideas. One that wound be nice is how wound that have been if made it closer to how I wound have been in realty. See an Raccoon lives for an max of 30 years in real life so he wound have been aldut at age 8. That's one of the reasons why I think they wound make good ideas for Game Theory. Note I did find that PC version will not work without an SDD. Steam will let you save an back-up of the install on an spinning drive for reinstall later so you don't have redownload it. At about 75GB I wish they offered an option to have back-up BD-R XL mailed to the end user. One of the reasons for that is my internet sucks.

Shaders will have to be loaded ahead of time to not get Loading Screens and it will be problematic but for Enthusiast it won't be obstacles. I can't believe how people didn't understand that thing about Wide Screen 😹 it was hilarious but i understand that there are new generations and malicious persons who will take it to the Court or just not be satisfied but now everyone know that for Wide screen you need Wide screen 🤫 Amazing Game about Love and it had big impact when it came to PS5 during most depressing Time .

Im glad that games like this is coming to PC, especially for PC gamers. For me, having a PS5 and a gaming laptop most likely capable of handling Rift Apart, i prefer having R&C games on playstation because they have always been exclusive to it but thats my opinion and im still glad to see it coming to another platform to introduce more people to the series

Considering the fact steam comes with its own controller support and the game will work on Keyboard + mouse you could use anything even 360 (its a crime btw) or ps3 controller

It’s the same team who ported Spider-Man which I had no issues with, I trust nixxes, the people who ported last of us was a team called iron galaxy who was notorious for their shoddy port of Batman Arkham knight which had the worst launch ever that the game got delisted to fix then when it came back it was still bad but barely playable

For me; the good news this is like the first time of a R&C game to be ported outside of a PlayStation system, which is good for more players on PC. But the bad news… I said this before that the only issue for this being on PC is the Mods. I know there are mods that are really great but other than that, there’s honestly some that are not so good. Like if we ever imagine what they’ll do to Rivet just to “fix” her or make her “better”, it’ll just ruin what made this game already perfect since launch.🤷🏻‍♂️ As side note, I really want to expect when they’ll announce the next R&C game with this being revealed, hopefully it’ll be sooner🤞🏻

I had my 30th birthday the othe week and surprisingly got a ps5 and first game I played was this. I finished it now heehee. And I love it. I wonder how will they handle the seemless jumping between levels through rift portals without a super fast SSD or super fast system data bus, features in the PS5 and not in PCs that we where told was what allowed for the rifts in rift apart.🤔

It can probably be done in different ways maybe it wont be as seamless for slower drives but PC has even faster SSD's, has had them for a year or 2 before the PS5 released. Microsoft's Direct Storage API on PC and Xbox essentially does the same thing as PS5 decompression block. Forspoken used this on PC and it was really fast loading.

@@mohammedalamer4456 The PS Blog seems to be implying so. They did mention "controller" simply. As for the Dualsense, to enable haptic and adaptive, you'll need a cable connection. This might get answered with time hopefully.
