This boss is actual aids to fight the first time. I actually cheesed him by spamming shields and using Electroshock armors hyper strike power to beat him. Its actually kinda effective (at least it was for me). If anyone is playing this in 2020 for some odd reason I encourage you to try this strategy at least once.

What i did was use the shields, PDA, Agents, Bee Mines, Shock Rockets, Laser Tracer and Dual Lacerators. Repulser Field for obvious reasons Agents of Dread and Killer Bee Mine for some utility damage Shock Rockets for that sweet sweet mobility damage Laser Tracer for when i feel ballsy PDA for ammo refills on other weapons Dual Lacerators cause it helps whittle his shield down and also helps in his enraged phase.

Francis UltimastrikerX Thats what I did my first couple playthroughs aside from the bee mine and laser tracer. Pda eats your bolts just as much as otto eats your bullets though

Its kinda not that hard. Use the lasergenerator to take down his shield(but be carefull u have to dodge 1 of his attacks or u lose alotta HP) ,and then attack him constantly with the lacerator,shock rockets (do the most dmg). And use the PDA

"Disc" implies you played on the ps2. The PSP version is way better, being made for that specific device. The PS2 port is criticized for having bad controls, and it isn't hard to see why.

@@JaydenMazz Yes I know. I wound up beating the ps2 version eventually by getting another copy. I came up with a strategy and he wound up not being that bad. He was still hard but not as much as it was that other time. I want to play the psp version as well but I don’t have one yet.

Quite a complex rhythm on this one.. I played a few levels of this game, but I found the low camera angle (due to being adjusted for the PSP screen) made platforming jumps hard to judge.

I agree with Porygon13 because I think that the animation of the game was kinda off, the first four games had better animation than this game. This game’s animation of the Ratchet movement was really not that awesome or flashy, but the some the soundtracks were a little better. In this game you couldn’t flip right or left while moving forward, while the three other first games you could.
