Hours after hours for years upon years we talk about transfers as if this will be the key to our success. Meanwhile, we see mid-table teams improve simply by getting the management side of the team right. Amorim should be making a difference given how clueless ETH was when it came to picking the squad and organizing the play. I am afraid that this obsession with getting new players will not solve our problems. INEOS pinching pennies is more an indication of our future than whether we get the right guy to play left wing.

I’ve been saying since the Arsenal game that it’s both tactically unsuccessful and very UN-MUFC to play a flat back 5. I do not understand why Ruben is doing it except to force INEOS hand in the transfer market. And culturally it does not make me feel confident about Amorim at MUFC. He didn’t play a flat back 5 at Sporting, even in the first instance. And it defo doesn’t work in the Prem unless u go full Southgate and thts exactly wht we didn’t want.

Management is not as stupid and silly as most of you think. It is obvious there are details many of us are not privy to….so let’s not jump to conclusions. I think it is right to be tough and sell players as all contracts given out before ineos arrived were disasters and wrong. Need to reset and sell high salary players and start recruiting new players with pay scale closer to our competitors. The high pay previously is the reason we decline as a team.
