"Watch collecting is a journey of upward mobility and it doesn't need to be" - well said that man. "I experimented with spending twelve grand on a watch and it did nothing for me". This is amazing. Insightful. Well said. Watch collecting is about finding a piece that makes you correspond to it emotionally and not financially. This was worth the admission alone. Thanks guys.

Andrew wins this for me - just a proper collectors mindset I feel. Adrian's is sensible to a fault - there's not so much as a yellow G Shock just to even demonstrate a sliver of some nonconformity. George's collection is just George, and I think that's what's disappointed me most about it. I was expecting to see some crazy solid gold Tag Autavia or something like a marine chronometer that had been passed down through the family.

It would have been very nice to see George's Navitimer. I think that was his first watch? And he also tore it apart soon after receiving it to understand how it worked. I think it says so much about him and foreshadowed what his relationship with watches would be like. That watch is probably the most interesting watch in all three of the guy's collections in terms of the story it tells.

George has a killer touch to his watches aka Branford personalisation which would be the dream of every collector. Great watches, great brands(9.2)! Τhis is another level and it’s unbeatable! Finally Adrian seems a Rolex Ad trying to be objective(6.2/10)! Sorry Adrian you are too boring but I love your videos and straps😂 P.S. Adrian won, as his collection seems the most thoughtful in what he likes and he really had to stretch to create that collection so they had to be meaningful. Andrew’s was the most eclectic, and interesting for other people to view. George’s was the biggest window into his personality since they were all products of his own imagination. But in the end, everyone’s collection is the best, because they are reflections of different likes, personalities, and willingness to stretch to achieve. So I think all three win because they all really seem to enjoy what they brought, and more importantly they wear/wore them (Adrian, get good insurance and wear the Sub again-it’s only a thing in the end). If you aren’t wearing a watch, you haven’t collected it, you’ve invested in it.

Almost exactly the kind of collections I expected to see. George with his amazing limited editions comprising a few of his fantastic Bamford’s, but not bringing out his real big boys(which I really admire about him). Adrian with his safe collection as he is Mr safe, but an amazing set of safe watches, this would appeal to safe watch collectors. Then Andrew with his semi flamboyant collection showing his varied and often flamboyant taste. I think your collections are direct reflections of your personalities. I think as time goes by collectors watches tend to reflect their personalities. 10 out of 10 for all three collections. I would gladly sport with pride and add to my collection any of the watches shown. Thanks again for a great show!!!!🎉

Great show. If I were to pick a collection to pick up of the table and keep, it would be Adrian’s. But it could easily be anyone’s collection. Andrew’s collection looks and feels most authentic to me as a reflection of an individual’s journey. Each piece is quirky and interesting and at first glance you know there is a story there. George’s collection is predictable based on his business. Would’ve been interested to see one or two pieces without a BWD connection.

My thoughts, one collection is from someone that likes to create, another collection is from someone that is attracted to the moment and the final collection is from someone that ties his likes to his budget. These three collections kind of sum up the various collectors and watch enthusiasts out there. I think all the collections are fine because they suit a need and fulfill a void for the collector in particular.

The highlight of this video for me was having my OCD triggered at 18:42 when the watches were being put on the table in what appeared to be a random manner - to watching it all come together at 43:15 and my mind calming down 😀 THANK YOU - otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to look past it and rate Andrew’s collection as the best 😜🤘🏼- mainly because it was diverse and was still “him”. It’s also pretty cool to see your choices and then go “ah that makes sense” because of how the three of you bring your whole self forward in these videos and the podcast! It’s so easy for your watches to make sense because of who YOU are 😊

It’s interesting to learn how other collectors approach the hobby. What surprised me the most was that the oldest watches were the Explorers. I expected to see a couple of vintage watches and not just modern reissues. To me, those old watches that I’ve acquired are more important than most of my modern ones because I feel like I’m a curator of history which makes choosing my next purchase a struggle between practicality and sentiment.

George Collection is 4 out of 10. We were expecting more personal watches without the commercial interest. Something where there is not financial involvement, I don't see Collabs as part of a personal collection, the passion is undeniable but I would be more interested in non Bamford collabs. Adrian 5 out of 10, it's basically the same watch but at least he knows what he likes, it's consistant but lacks originality. Andrew is 7 out 10 for the diversity and for sharing watches that are more accessible to the rest of us, a lot more relatable. I won't mentioned the Hublot :). I was surprised that Andrew didn't share other watches from his collection such as the Bronze Tudor or that incredible Norquain. Overall it was very interesting to watch where I feel that for some, we actually know more about their personality vs others still trying to protect a certain privacy. Thanks for as great episode.

Andrew. His words are from a point of wonder still-and connection to sentiment. Awash in watches these three have access where pedestrians like me can only piggy back on and love to be along. I’m a forever fan of Adrian and I mirror his collection ethos (only an Explorer and Sub) but didn’t know I needed other lanes to peer into via the other two. George shows me where the farther reaches are on the horizon from where I stand (again, closer to Adrian) and I so appreciate how he sees watches and what he wants to show up for him. Appreciate you guys. A point to upvote: that moment in the end when Adrian is on the spot about selling Bark & Jack-it got so raw and very real. Love it. More of that kind of exchange and getting each other into an off balance spot. So real. Human and fun. It becomes less a presentation. Or a show. Bravo all around.

To take a model that you love and really personalise it to one's own tastes must be fabulous. Adrain was a big influence for me getting my Explorer 124270. I absolutely love that watch. All of its beauty is in its simplicity. I’ve owned other Rolexes and none made me happy every time I looked at it. I got mine brand new this past June. And I’ve worn it every day since. This is my first Oyster bracelet and first EZ Link. And maybe the taper helps, but it’s the most comfortable bracelet to date. I recently tried on a Vacheron overseas. Very cool bracelet. Not as comfortable. I still might get it (it’s a touch big for my 6.5” wrist). Either way, great convo and really enjoyed this one.

I think you should get rid of the Kermit and the Rootbeer Adrian and trade the 42mm Explorer II for another 16570 Polar, that one with the Explorer and the IWC would make a simple yet killer 3 watch collection. Well, maybe add a speedy in the future 😂

Adrian’s collection demonstrates someone who would rather go for class and safe investment, than displaying adventure and self confidence (in the sense of a Rolex protecting you from being judged). I respect that.

Who wins? The viewers! That was a really cool episode. George: 9.4/10 Adrian: 9.6/10 and Andrew 9.4/10. Back in May of 2018, I had a brief conversation with Adrian on IG about requesting either a Tudor GMT or Rolex Pepsi. I was grateful to have gotten the call for both watches soon after. There I was with TWO amazing watches. But one was out of place.... it was the Rolex. To this day, I still daily the Tudor GMT (I did upgrade the bracelet to the Tudor 5-link) and added other watches to the collection. But I keep going back to the tried and true (Tudor). I share this, not to gloat about getting an AD call, but to communicate that podcasts, reviews and engagements like this are great tools to help viewers understand the "why" behind collecting. Happy Holidays, Gents! PS: Adrian recommended I get the Tudor, he was right all along.

Thank you very much for the nice video. This is a very interesting format. I can understand Adrian's emotional motivations for his watch collection the most. Andrew is the thoughtful journalist who looks at things objectively, without being driven by emotion. George acts primarily as a sales professional and figurehead for his brand

In my book Andrew gets the W for this episode. Just in diversity alone he wins by miles. George always bringing interesting stuff to the forefront and I reckon Adrian doesn't need to sell bark and jack just yet as he seems to already be on a very sweet sponsorship deal with Rolex. Would've found it interesting to have the price tag of each collection to see what the value proposition is. I appreciate that you can admire a watch as an object in itself but it is interesting to have the price as it do find it informs my judgement as well. I just got my first watch (other that a Casio f-91w) which is a Serica California that I absolutely adore but I simply can't imagine spending over £2k on a watch in the next two years. I find it hard on personal level to be able to justify the spend but I think I may have caught the bug which I fear is going to be harsh on my future bank statements. Andrew, I really appreciate you backing Hublot, I also feel they get underserved hate. One of the coolest watches that I'd love to own one day is the Hodinkee limited edition Classic Fusion in titanium which is just

I really like all 3 collections. Adrian has the "safest/most practical" one imho - and is the one I would personally choose to own. Thanks for sharing part of your respective collections! I was bummed not to see the Solargraph in Andrew's selection though - would have been cool to see such a practical solar quartz offering getting some love in this SOTC context.

Great video, my joint favourite with the 'Marcus' episode. I really enjoyed the contrasting collections, each reflecting the owner's spirit, and where they are in their personal watch journey. For me, Andrew wins based on diversity, wearability, sentimentality and the thought that's gone into it. BUT there's much to love (+learn) from all 3. Thanks for sharing.

Andrew wins this by a mile for me. Was expecting more from George tbh. Adrians is just boring, obv good but boring. Great for going for a hike and shooting B-rolls I guess.

Andrew's collection is by far the most balanced and wearable everyday. Bamford's is a bit out there and the best watch geek's collection, but not everyday wearable. Adrian's is a very 'nice' collection, and not surprising he went with 4 Rolex! Overall I vote for Andrew's as it's the most balanced for everyday wear.

First of all I doubt these are their full collections, especially George's :) Anyhow, George's collection is a "me" collection, Adrian just likes Rolex, and Andrew's is a more rounded one sports watch collection. 6/10, 5/10 and 8/10 respecrively

I respect George, and I think his collection is super awesome. However, why doesn’t he ever showcase his other big pieces? I know he has a deep connection with the ones he designed and collaborated with, but he’s constantly nagging on hype pieces/brands and I’m pretty sure he has a fair share of time pieces from said brands. Is he ashamed of owning pieces from AP, Patek, Rolex etc? I also understand if he doesn’t want to show it off for security reasons, but it just doesn’t make sense to me when he calls Rolex and other big brands boring if he owns them too. Perhaps they don’t represent him? If that’s the case, why not sell them?

I’m a Rolex fan so I am all about Adrian’s collection. I want to have a big Rolex collection to pass to my kid and enjoy my whole life. I have 6 already and 7th coming this week. I love them and there is no explanation. The good news is historically always they have retained or increased in value so it’s safe money to park. So while flashy, hype, common, boring, or whatever ppl think about Rolex the truth is they are perfect watches, timeless, robust and classy at the same time and they will always be desired. I like them all. Bamfords brilliance to be able to work with brands and to have a story about every co creation is insane and something most of us will never be able to do, Andrews collection is great but as well but for me it’s Adrian’s :) GREAT video guys! Love watching your stuff. Makes me feel great to be a part of the watch collecting community

The explorer 36 with the 20mm lug width is pure class. The Kermit should be worn selectively. He has the best explorer 2. The root beer sorta doesn’t fit but I wouldn’t sell it.

Excellent episode! Andrew wins for me as the most interesting collection. The Longines is beautiful - I may need one in my life and on that exact strap. George and Adrian sort of tie. Adrian has two of my favourites - Explorer 2 and the IWC. George's Chopard is stunning too.

Really loved this episode, would love to see more content like this. So many lovely watches on the table - but Andrew's adventurous behaviour to collecting wins it for me, not many people would dare to own a ceramic white watch... let alone a Hublot...and OWN it.

Adrian you didn't wanna wear a 10K watch but have an explorer 2 (about 10K USD and trades for higher) and a rootbeer which sells for well over 10k RRP? Time to wear the Kermit as part of the daily rotation again!
