Pretty awesome but you do need to tap a hole in the shaft and rotating parts and put in some greases fitting because the metal will wear out fast! And you could buy a pretty nice and cheap seat online to put it on! :)
@rustybones997 жыл бұрын
It actually goes a lot faster than I was expecting with your weight on it. And yes, it does look like you're mowing the lawn with an "old man" scooter.

You need to go to school for engineering my friend!! Your a natural, a engineering savant. You would go far if you try. Good welds too, for not knowing how to do it. I teach welding so I know what I am looking at. I am sure your welds look real good now that your use to welding as well. Video. well it is good too!!
lol just cause he builds this doesnt mean he has a bright future in engineering. Kind of ignorant to say that tbh. This isnt quite what engineering is.

Nicely executed; may not have good space and comfort, but it is quite simple for a design. You even kept it all on the push mower deck.

Impressive! A poor man's riding mower! If it works and it seems to do just that just as a traditional riding mower does, who am I to judge. I'm very impressed! I'm not very good at welding either but your ingenious idea seems to work rather well. Awesome job!

Thanks for uploading this. I started welding just over a year ago. This mower is now awesome! I'll give you one idea I would have put some thin plate steel on top of the deck flat on it so your two seat posts would be welded to it. I would hate for the deck to start rusting and operator weight cause a post to break through the deck and hit the moving blade under my arse. Stay safe and inspect often. I just landed here at this video. I like it so much I hit subscribe and will have to look at what else you got here. Keep up the creativity!!!
@DJTAZ19967 жыл бұрын
great job man! i would suggest you start a mini rider mower business and patent them. use a snapper rear drive self propelled mower instead and turn that into a mini rider. they have steel wheels with ball bearings in them so wont wear out as fast plus has variable speed too. it would be a good business to start and some big riders cant fit where that mower can.

so you pretty much rewire the "stop lever" mechanism to the pedal right? so that way the spark plug can engage with the armature / alternator when you start the lawnmower. and when you release the pedal the lawnmower mechanically shuts off.

What kind of gearbox did you use? It can't be standard one, because it wouldn't move and hold your weight. We tried it, it brakes. Also the chassis, how come it holds you? It's not meant to hold a person, steel is thin.
