Nah, oldies just wanna hate on the newbies because the newbies are trying to do their own thing that supposedly "sucks" but are succeeding with it. New generation don't care how the old generation do their thing, but the oldies hate on the newbies. Jealousy? Envy? Gatekeeping? Who knows? Haters gonna hate. Old generation be "i feel bad for you", new generation be "i don't think about you at all". And i say this even if i like listening to 90s to early 2000s rap, i grew up on that. But somehow, my old favorites turned into haters while i enjoyed every era of rap since then.
