15:23 Glorious Boon is actually really interesting. The way it is worded and formatted, the discarding hand and treasure creation only happens if you use the Leyline effect. So basically there's two different outcomes. Either: If you use the Leyline effect in a multiplayer game, lose your opening hand, but begin the game with multiple treasures, 6 cards in the graveyard, and possibly useful enchantment on the battlefield. In commander, that might be enough to start the game with a 3 CMC commander on the field that doesn't care about cards in hand. Or, if you play Glorious Boon while the game is going on, its a discount Palinchron in black. 3 CMC means its not a must-take for decks already running rituals, and you have to find something else to bounce it, but its still really good. It also gives an enchantment permanent if your deck cares about that, and can be recurred

Kinda surprise the AI can come up with a card like Toggo where it has a bunch of text but everything make sense and actually work/balance each other out. It’s like a human made it. The idea that you have a 2 power flying who can hit every turn but you suffer 2 dmg as well, and almost nothing get rid of it, but also you can kick it so you do more dmg than you lose life. It’s an interesting design

50:00 with planeshift you roll a Planeshift Dice(a D6 with just 2 sides) one is Chaos (the black symbol on the card) and the other is the symbol to planeshift ( go to another plane) so everybody is spending mana to roll the dice to leave this plane or indeed the lifegain player killed the others while on this plane (remember the plane shift deck is another deck at the center you all share: so from a plane that redirects all spells, to a plane that unearths everything, to this, to a plane that is just a board wipe. i can definitely see this printed)

If I'm remembering Planechase correctly - there's a deck of Plane cards that all players share that usually have a board-wide effect along with a triggered ability on a dice roll. The game starts with one revealed, and each player rolls a die on their turn. Four sides do nothing, one side triggers the effect of the symbol on the plane card, and one side causes a new plane to be revealed, and the old one's ignored. It's a really fun game mode!

Well I looked up the rules and we were playing completely wrong - apparently each player has their own plane deck and the roll isn't mandatory, but can be done as a sorcery once a turn.

if you look at the old Vampiric Tutor it says "Pay 2 life: search your deck for a card..." but you can only activate that effect once as it is cast because it is not a permanent. Same would be true for Dael Plue.

Very simple, and works just fine. (51:44) Blood Season: Fair, ship. Huh, quite interesting how it can't block, but it forces everything else to block if able on the turn it arrives. (53:14) According to Scryfall, there are three Faeries that are red: Rankle and Torbran (also part black), Sprite Dragon (also part blue), and Wee Dragonauts (also part blue). And, there are no mono-red Faeries. (We need some mono-red Faeries, Wizards, just like how we need some mono-green Angels!) (53:40) Aentrosh Laborator: Fair, ship. Nothing's broken on this one, and X is properly defined and used for once. Also, LOL at Narset's new beard. (55:59) Ooh, that's a nice Forest. I like the cubic look to it. (56:01) Ashen of the First Visionary: Fair, ship, assuming Tanget creatures exist. Well, that -3 effect would work on Changelings in your graveyard, at least. Also, how do you get vile counters on this guy immediately to make the ETB ability do anything? And, it has no kicker cost, so that ability would never work anyway.

I just had ChatGPt create cards and it came up with the most ordinary cards. For a sorcery it had this "original" idea: Sure thing! I actually really like the Fen Skygriff, and think it only needs some slight tweaks to make it actually work. Were I to rewrite it, it would read: FFFFF | 11/11 | Trample, Haste, When Fen Skygriff enters the battlefield each opponent loses 3 life unless you choose any number of target creatures you control. As long as Fen Skygriff remains tapped, its controller mills that many cards during their upkeep." Turning this mill effect into an upkeep trigger rather than an ETB suddenly makes this card playable. This gives the player two choices on how they want to play the card: 1) they can play it early in the game to get a ton of damage out pretty fast, or 2) they can wait until later in the game when you have a good board state, play it, give it to an opponent, and put pacify or some other "tap and don't untap" effect on it to force the player to self-mill.

Doomscopper: Great Red/White Human summons for cards like Thalia's Lieutenant, Grand Abolisher, Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, Esper Sentinel, Hatmon Prodigy, Young Pyromancers, Or Blue with Timestream Navigator as this could mollywhop an Ascend outright, Jace, Vryns Prodigy, Delver of Secrets, Lavinia in blue/white Green brings Uvenwald Tracker back and lets you use the Lieutenants to do creature removal, Destiny spinner... So many ways to get second life from cheap cards that can turn into massive card advantage and would make some decks have a much larger option base that incorporate a large number of humans.

Fen Skygriff: You choose any number of creatures you control. If it stays tapped, your opponent mills that many number of cards instead. Its a card that offers no downsides as long as it stays on the field even if placed in perma tapped status. The only way I vould even see negating that would be reducing the number if those creatures died but that doesnt seem to be in the card rules. So you'd have to do an instant burn to remove as many targets on summon to reduce the number of viable targets available to be used as mill number generator fodder.

Forge of Foret would be banned in Yu-Gi-Oh where cards that activate in the discard pile are signficantly more common and the ability to get those cards back is also easy. There is actually a card called Delinquent Duo which is basically this but you have to pay 1/8 of your starting life and you don't get to draw a card. That card has been banned for over a decade. I can only imagine how powerful this is in MTG.
