This one's pretty good, making proper use of energy, and Encore can get you even more energy later on, especially in a multiplayer game. Sacrifice them at the beginning of the next end step. Activate only as a sorcery." (33:18) No, you can only pay 1 energy per attack. So, it'll normally just be a 4/2 at best, until you've spent all your energy. (34:58) I like that blocky Swamp. (34:59) Viashino Proyogation: OP, ship then ban. 3/4 for 1 mana with no downside? Wowsers. And, it does have a properly working kicker ability, except it'll only really work if you can cast it during battle at instant speed. Here's how I'd fix this: Raise the mana cost from 1 to 4, and give it Flash. Then it would be fair and would work nicely. (37:02) Master of Arms has an ability that's pretty useless now, which taps a creature that blocks it. When the guy first appeared, there was a rule that blocking creatures dealt no combat damage if they were tapped, but that's not the case anymore, and WotC never gave Master of Arms any errata to make his blocker-tapping ability do what it was originally meant to do. But, at least it's got turtles, and that's what really matters. :P (42:06) Yes, Grandeur is real, and this AI card uses it correctly. It's found on a set of five legendary creatures in the Future Sight set, such as Tarox Bladewing. (42:34) Pride's Demise: Unplayable this card is, shredded this card should probably be. Technically works, this card does. But super narrow and weak, this card is. (43:31) Angelic Covenant: Word salad, shred. LOL, Lhanged. Sorry, this card ain't doable. (44:50) That's a nice blocky Plains. (44:52) Steelwing Sword: Fair, word salad, shred. It has flying, so of course it has flying, has flying. Anyway, that second ability as written makes little sense. But, if the wording was fixed up, this would be good. (47:21) Rust of the Vinger: Fair, word salad, shred. Get rid of the extra "you control" and it would be fine. (49:25) Ayou Illiation: Unplayable, ship then never use. A 3-mana 1/1 with an overpriced pump effect, an ability that's pointless because it doesn't naturally have defender, and a very weak effect for a sacrifice ability that requires additional mana colors. This is almost Zephyr Spirit levels of bad, honestly. (50:46) Silverglade Strider: Word salad, shred. I almost need a magnifying glass to read this thing's text, and a lot of it is either complete gibberish or just unusable. (53:06) Constant Tempest: Word salad, shred. The cycling reminder text has the wrong mana symbol, and this Instant card really wants you to put it onto the battlefield. :P (54:02) Taulx of Valor: Word salad, shred. LOL, that ability, and I think it would lead to a draw game due to infinitely trying to destroy itself if it ever became indestructible. (55:27) That says "regard", not "regrets". (56:17) Sudden Shot: Word salad, shred. LOL, we can destroy a game rule now?! :P (57:35) Void Tome: OP, ship then restrict in Vintage and ban in all other formats. It's nearly on the power level of Ancestral Recall, and has a couple other options if you don't need to draw cards, all for just a single red mana. I think raising the mana cost to 3 or 4 would make it fair.

I would love Dobnad Glblin Growth in EDH honesty. In fact, errata it to "target opponent's ceeature" to keep it from being broken outside of that format. White already has the idea of "you have something good? Then I should get that too!" as part of its color pie, so I like the idea of that crossing over into common EDH cards that other people might run as well.

Dobnar Goblin Growth isn’t completely useless in commander, only mostly useless. It would probably see play in a Shadowborn Apostle deck, and theoretically you could target your opponent’s Lanowar Elves to find your own Lanowar Elves, so maybe if you always play with the same people and know what their deck is you’d find more use.

I'd argue the roll could be for 30-40 on a d20 for a card and it would still fit the rules, assuming there was plans or ways to effect the value of a dice +/-, or the die cast into another type. Just because you can't roll that 21+ without comboing doesn't mean its not valid effect, you just don't fit the criteria. A card could say roll a d4 and 1-99 is "skip your next turn" along with 100 being "You win the game" and just need some combo that gets to 100.

I love the flavor text on Jadilith's Mightsters: "If you know all lore, you lose yourself." It speaks to the sacrifice of the self for the pursuit of knowledge. Meanwhile, the card lets you draw two new cards at the cost of sending a total of six to the graveyard. Those two just seem to fit together. Yes, you get new "knowledge" (spells), but there is a high price.

Yeah, if you read "doable" as "can be brought out based on the current state of the board" then it actually takes on some meaning. For example, if you need to cast an instant or sorcery "sac [x] to get [some] mana" in order to cast a spell, it isn't "doable," since the mana required isn't "on the board," it's partially in your hand, or technically on the stack somewhere? Point is, it isn't obviously available based on the current board state. So, for Angelic Covenant, if you had 2 Forests and 2 Mountains, you can cast a 3 G for 2 G, but you can't cast a 4 G at all - you don't have the mana to cast it on the board, so you can't benefit from Covenant's mana reduction effect. I assume "doable" effects would be things like mana reductions, recovery of incidental sacrifices (Spell requires you sac 2 [creatures], the doable effect is "put a creature token into play with the same name, type, power, toughness, and abilities as one of the sacrificed creatures), or similar modifications to a casting cost - "If a spell is doable, and has a kicker cost, sac this card and the kicker cost is paid"

Dobnar Goblin Growth looks pretty busted. It would be printable I think if it was a legendary instant and/or it could only target legendary creatures. Doesn't work at all in EDH but in any other format it's good quasi protection for your legendary creatures. Also it's white card draw so that's cool.

The effect of Rage Starker is one that usually confuses people, because it's not an activated ability, it's a trigger one followed by a second triggered ability that goes off if the condition of paying what the first ability asked to was fullfilled. In other words, the first one goes off when the creature attacks, at resolve you decide whether to pay or not. If you do, the second one goes off. You cannot activate the second ability by will, because it doesn't have a cost.

For the Rage Starker, you can pay the 1 energy for each Starker token you'll get after encoring the card. Which is paid when the card is in the graveyard. So basically, a 4/2 Starker for each opponent you had when you activated the encore.

For goblin pee, you could get them and use them for noncreature convoke spells. They tap to pay for the cast, and then untap on cast. Thats bascally infinite 4 green mana if you only really have convoke spells. Still need lands for the nonconvoke noncreature and any creature spells. Can't imagine building a deck around four 1/1s, even for technically infinite mana, is worth it though. End the Festivities. Maybe green casts some spells to increase toughness.

As weird as it sounds a Land that cost mana to play, could kind of work, basically its a spell with the draw back of also being your land for the turn if the land enters tapped or doesn't tap for mana it is a drawback, but ones that enter untapped or tap for mana could have the lesser drawback, idk it could be a neat idea for legendary locations that travel or something idk

Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle is effectively a land that costs 4 mana to play, quite interestingly. It is a creature card, but it enters the battlefield with five slumber counters on it, and while it has any slumber counters on it, it's a land and not a creature, so you have to remove the slumber counters by casting spells before you can take advantage of its 12/12 body. But, in the meantime, you can still tap it for two mana.

Steelwing Sword can attack on the turn it comes out. You declare it as an attacker, and this triggers a check to see if all attackers are legal before proceeding to the next step. If Steelwing Sword has flying and has flying, then it will have haste, and so it will be a legal attacker. If it somehow lost flying, then that check would fail and you would be forced to back up to the last valid gamestate before declaring the attack, and possibly issued a warning for bad play. And then they kick you out for using fake cards.

Wow, it actually makes sense and creates and uses energy in a meaningful way. But, a 4-mana 7/5 creature that can regenerate any creature for 2 mana might be a wee bit too strong. Increase the mana cost by 3, and increase the kicker cost by a lot or reduce the damage it deals to a more reasonable amount, then this would be okay. (13:25) Ghost Champion: Fair, ship. This one's really good. Only problem: It lacks the Spirit creature type. Also, I think Gerrard had one too many. :P (14:47) Forge Dominate: OP, ship then ban later. Mono-blue Angel FTW, but this is really too much power for 5 mana. Compare Invoke the Winds, which steals just one thing for 5 mana. This gives you a 4/4 body, taps everyone else, then steals everything that's not a land for just 5 mana. Methinks for all that, this should be at least 8 mana or more. (14:51) The only mono-blue Angel I'm aware of is Illusory Angel. (With the exception of Changelings, of course.) (16:51) Saybly Sliver: Word salad, shred. If it was just the first sentence, it would've been fine, but then the AI decided to let its feline friend type the second sentence. Meow. (17:36) Like with the card Harmless Offering, perhaps? :P (17:50) Bombard Twap: OP, ship then ban later. This may be a bit too much power for 3 mana. Also, it goes infinite way too easily since it doesn't say to sacrifice a non-token creature. Oops. "You've activated my Twap card!" - Elmer Fudd. :P (19:52) Carrion Raiders: Fair, ship. Everything here works just fine, and aren't OP at all. Actually, this might actively harm you, since you'd make your opponent's legendary creatures have protection from your white stuff too. (21:31) Angel of Growth: Super duper OP, shred. It gives infinite mana all by itself for just 1/5 the cost of Mox Lotus. IT DANGER! (23:11) Goblin Archives: Fair, word salad, shred. Oh, so close... But, the "It's still a land" part makes no sense here. Remove that, and this is a perfectly fine mana rock that can animate itself, and it has a cute cat peeking in on the fun. (24:23) Roragation of Old Lovi: Fair, ship. Quite weird, but this can be made to work. (26:11) 10/9: Word salad, not actually a 10/9, shred. Honestly, a 6/6 flying creature for 6 mana by itself isn't bad, but then the upreall occurred in the second ability. Welp. (27:37) That's a nice blocky Mountain. (27:39) Fork The Sky With The Harvest: Fair, ship... Wait, nope. It almost looks like an Aura, but it's an Equipment instead in the type line, but says "Enchant Creature" in the text, and does not have an equip cost. So, I gotta say "word salad, shred" because of that. If "Equipment" was changed to "Aura", then it would work just fine.

The only card witha useless abilty i can think if is Master of arms. Its a 2/2 first strike for 2w, which is kind of ok stat wise. But it also has the ability: 1w: tap target creature blocking master of arms. Apparently in the early days of mtg there was a rule stating that if you tap a creature after it has been declared as a blocker it deals no cimbst damage. But that rule was phased out because it was kinda vonfusing and also basicly never came up.
