my fav was def iphone se 3, bc it is the ultimate version of the 6/7/8 and i just love that form factor. the cameras also have the unique early apple smartphone strength of understanding they won't go toe to toe with dedicated camera systems and so they don't rely on things like "sharpness/low light" and instead focus on having great colour rendition+good stabilization. That is why se 3 is nearly my perfect iphone. Now if only they made one with usb-c D:

the 5s should be in S tier. It was the first 64bit SOC in he smartphone world for a year, it was supported for like 7 years, and it really was a massive leap forward.

I just understood why people got triggered when I'd call myself old when I was in my 20s. Mid-30s now and damn, that combo of "I was like 5 when the original iPhone came out" and "if you're old like me" hit hard lol. ANYWAY. Of the iPhones I've owned, the two I'd put in S-tier are the 5S and 13 Pro (Max). The 5S was the first 64 bit iPhone, had a way better camera than its predecessor, introduced TouchID, was built like a tank, and just lasted me forever. I only got 2 years out of my 4S before iOS 7 turned it into an unusable, laggy mess (it was amazing right up to that point, though). I got 4.5 years out of the 5S. My 13 Pro Max is feeling similar - just a super complete, refined, "finished" feeling package. Battery performance so good I've never come close to running out, a very dialled in, refined camera system (whereas the camera system in the 14 Pro feels like a beta version of what turned out to be actually finished in the 15 Pro), an SOC so ahead of the curve that it's still unfazed, also built like a tank - I seriously love this thing. And... I guess for the record (only phones I've owned): 4S - A tier, 6S - B tier, 7 - C tier, 11 - B tier.
