just wanna add comment for takoyaki. In japan, we have famous takoyaki restaurant called gindako. But it's just like tokyo style takoyaki, which is more crispy. But Takoyaki in Osaka is more fluffy in general. So if u guys come to japan, i recommend to eat both style takoyaki and dicide which one is ur favorite! hope everyone coming to japan have great experience❤❤ from japan

I remember burning my mouth in Kyoto eating festival takoyaki. I am astounded you never had it before but I guess the aversion to seafood makes that understandable. I have a mild allergy to things like crab, lobster, and mussels which I'm sure my asian family disown me for. I can eat Squid/Octopus fine though. I feel lucky being in Melbourne where you can get relatively above average ramen, okonomyaki, takoyaki, and unagi/anago (my favourite sushi). Nothing beats those in Japan though. These vids always make me so jealous (and hungry!).

Oh gosh... our trip was such a blur, we went here on day... 10? 12? and I had almost no memory of it until seeing that bloody lobster on screen just now. We went there for Ichiran, cuz like... you gotta, right? Decent ramen, not spectacular, but the experience of getting to sit quietly in my own little booth while extras were delivered silently through a curtain was solidly worth the 45+ minute wait in line, in my opinion.

The creme brulee Pablo cheese tart is the better one in my opinion! Has a crackly sugar topping that makes it special.

@@seerasan I have tried some Japanese food already, but ramen is missing from my list. But, many of my Japanese colleagues said that the ramen is only good in Japan and nowhere else. So, I guess I will enjoy it through your video, until I can make it to Japan..:)

How the hell did you live in Japan, work with Tokyo Creative (with loads of food and drink videos) and never have tried takoyaki hahahah?! This video will honestly safe me I think. I'm honestly very excited for takoyaki, okonomiyaki, tayaki and ofcourse the sushi, ramen and mochi (the list could go on). The okonomiyaki looked pretty nice ngl

I know, shameful right! 😂 I almost NEVER eat seafood. But recently I've been open to trying certain things more & this just happened to be one of them! The other was ebi tempura for another video! If you're visiting during the summer, be sure to try kakigori (shaved ice) and cold soba/udon noodles with dipping sauce! Or if you can, try nagashi somen (flowing noodles)! Enjoy your Japan trip!

​@@evilcab I developed a shellfish allergy when I was younger, so I never grew up eating much seafood but did eventually outgrow the allergy! Now the smell + appearance doesn't appeal to me much though... I do like eating things like simple white fish grilled with lemon in Australia, but Japanese style seafood is next level to me! Slowly levelling up my palate for it though haha

Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki are largely made of a pancake type mixture and slathered in unhealthy, heavily processed sauces. Once you've had them a few times they lose all of their appeal. Japanese food has to be the most limited, plain, unhealthy and boring in the Asia, if not the world. Singaporean street food is just insane.
