2:46 the three white stripes on 3rd is symbolize the three major operations the division participated in during World War I: the Battle of the Marne, the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, and the St. Mihiel Offensive

All I know about 3ID was we were a no salute FOB until they showed up. So after getting scuffed up for greeting with “Sniper check”, we put on our hokiest Irish accents and said “Rock of the Marne’ing to ya, sir!”

2ID needs to have the Combined Division Tab included for peak bigness. It lets us compete with 1st Cav.

BTW, how about a series on unit crests? Like the atomic demolitions munitions company that shared a motorpool with 1/67 Armor way back when. The ADC's crest was a mushroom cloud with the motto "FIAT LUX" underneath.

Easily the most iconic patch. Practically everyone recognizes it, whether they're even American or not. The only other ones that are close, or maybe beat it recognition are Special Forces group patch, 1 ID, and maybe the Ranger scroll.

My personal favorites are: 2nd Armored Division, because Hell on Wheels is a fantastic name 3rd Armored Division because Spearhead and Sgt Lafayette Poole is a stud And 4rd Armored Division because they rescued the 101st from Bastoge, and Cobra King is my favorite tank. Yes I'm aware these are all old units but I'm a WWII buff, and waiting for all the 101st fanboys "Muh Eagles didn't need to be rescued at Bastogne blah blah blah" Well they did so there.
