Honestly I like 44 signature series better than a2000s or heart of the hide gloves. They have better leather and the craftmanship has gotten a lot better since they started and they're now at pretty much the same build quality of top tier gloves. I would've ranked 44 a lot high especially since you can customize them a whole lot more than almost any other brand.

Easton was doing some really cool things for youth gloves back in 2019 during the LLWS where they put a out a bunch of gloves in the $190 range geared towards youth players in all the colorways of the teams in the LLWS that year. It was called the Hemlock series. Eric Walbridge worked on those as well I believe.

I have a gloved that was issued for team Japan in 2018. It has the LLWS stamp in it. One of my friends got it from a guy he knows.

Great video. I was researching baseball gloves online and it seems like the best brands are Rawlings, Wilson, and Mizuno which is the same as in the video. One website rated the Wilson A2000 the best of the best. Another said that the A2K isn't worth the money over the A2000. One said that the Rawlings Heart of the Hide had all pros and no cons and that the Wilson A2K and A2000 didn't have good laces. So this would match your A tier. It also said that the All Star Pro Elite is the best catcher's mitt which is in your GOAT tier. I also wanted to know how good Marucci gloves are, which the video answered. I guess they are more famous for bats than gloves. You can customize your glove on their website. Maroon looks pretty nice. What about SSK or Warstic gloves? I don't think that it is worth the $100 - $150 and up to customize your glove unless you are a professional baseball player. I would get the model that is closest to what I want because I can't decide on how to customize it. I have a Rawlings Heart of the Hide BH34 Bryce Harper game model in black and camel with red laces and welting and it is almost exactly as I would have had it customized.

A3000s are from the early 2000s I think started production around 2002 and wen through a couple variations and were discontinued in 2006 or 2007 when Barry Bonds was retiring and Wilson was making way for the A2K series to make it's debut in 2008.

You were to generous to WIlson, its a hit and miss on the quality. Some gloves thyey do a good job and others it's how is this acceptable for sale at Dicks. For example, the level of consistency isn't there for every glove. One glove gets all the good quality leather and the other gets all the wrinkly leather. And now with the a2ks and new patterns if you noticed the wrist area of the glove, isn't even circumference in a circle shape; it's a weird squash-up shape, not circular to the human hand. If I was a Pro and got that on my glove I'll pull an Ichiro Suzuki *watch what pros wear Mizuno gloves. And see how attention to detail works for pros. Overall can't put Wilson up there, a huge difference in how the pro-issue gloves are quality treated vs. consumer quality. They might get it right on their exclusive gloves as those are done in Japan. But overall it's a hit and miss and goes into the C category. They need to step up their game.
@GoatGloves3 жыл бұрын
I see where you’re coming from but there’s a lot to break down here. Each company has its flaws and you can’t expect your glove to be the same as a Pro’s. I’ve had over 75 Wilson’s and the consistency in quality is pretty continuous in my experiences. Also I never base a gloves quality by the ones at DSG, because they aren’t stored properly on display and have countless customers hand in them before they are bought(some are also steamed). I’m not completely sure about your issues with the A2k as I haven’t experienced anything like that. Lastly, all A2000 exclusives are made in Vietnam. Only Japanese made gloves are pro issues, A2ks, and a2000 Catchers mitts.

Nike and Nokona are overrated as fuck. Nike make their gloves softened and the form is terrible. the leather is good but ruined by the ugly look to then. B tier. Nokona is great now, especially with their customs, but the price is ridiculous. B tier as well, they should not be more expensive than HOH and A2000’s
