This week I had a dream I met Brian Omillion in a city that was floating in the air with like propellers underneath holding it up and it was so odd and wonderful. Now that I think about it, that was literally Tone Town!!!

Auzzycamps20 here! Thanks for reviewing my board guys! You’ll be happy to know I got my new polytune mini IN SERIES (buffer on) after listening to your volume pedal episode. Also, I feel like Grant should know that Altoids can has been keeping my breath fresh since 2005 (and keeping a few picks handy)! Thanks for the advice and the love! MC3, MC6 and MC8 can do the same thing has the red remote depending on how you use the available 1/4 jacks on each because it can be used in different ways. (I use mine for channel switching on my amp with their relay interface)

Hey guys, Aristophis here, thanks for reviewing my board! I run the Tumnus into the SY-200 because I really like the response I get from it when I do that. I know it is unconventional. Also, I do run the OCD at 18v and love the sound at that voltage. You also pegged me right! I love Pat Metheny and the Grateful Dead. I am mostly a guitarist for worship services though. I change the board a lot, and you caught a glimpse of the board right as I was playing a service that included “Overflow” by Rivers and Robots, which needs a lot of cool sounds. Also, I run two Voodoo Labs power supplies under the board. Thanks!

To lower signal to noise ratios on guitar pedal boards which studio quality rack mount "Noise Reduction" ( Not noise gates ) units would you recommend using? To use Noise Reduction studio quality instead of noise gates to lower the signal to noise ration.
@VertexEffectsInc
@VertexEffectsInc 2 жыл бұрын
I think for pedalboards the Smart Gate, Decimator G String, or Zuul are good options depending on your needs.
@waynegram8907
@waynegram8907 2 жыл бұрын
@@VertexEffectsInc Those are noise gates not noise reduction. The Decimator II G string is suppose to be the best at Noise Reduction but recording studios have rack mount noise reduction which takes away the noise, hiss, hum by a digital software program that will analyze your signal and strip away the noise, hiss, hum. Its not what a noise gate does because a noise gate is based about a threshold point and chops off your signal level after a certain point. A noise reduction unit will analyzer your signal and strip away the noise, hiss and hum from signal coil pickups and overdrive pedals that raise the noise floor level. There must be studio rack noise reduction gear used in the 80s 90s 2000s

@@waynegram8907 for pedal format those will the best you'll do.
@waynegram8907

@@VertexEffectsInc Noise Reduction software program you will record the hiss buzz hum noise (with the guitar ) just the pedals turned on, then you play your guitar audio which the noise reduction software with COMPARE the recorded hiss buzz hum RF noises from signal coil pickups and guitar pedals noise floor hiss and buzzes with the guitar audio. Its not a noise gate which has a gate and chops off your audio. Noise reduction COMPARES against the recorded hiss buzz hum RF noises light noises, etc with the guitars audio. Its 100% different than a gate or noise gate. That is why its best to use a laptop and use the noise reduction software programs instead of using those noise gate guitar pedals.

I am looking at replacing my Quiklok VP 26 with an EB VP jr. I have an input buffer and my VP is the second to last in the chain right before my DI with cab sim. I run all passive basses so would I use a 25k or a 250k pedal.
@VertexEffectsInc
@VertexEffectsInc 2 жыл бұрын
If you have a buffer before the VP, then the low impedance is ideal. If you have no buffer before the volume pedal then high impedance is the way to go.

Rate or Roast some Rigs! Fluff has been so ridiculous to abandon his rating and roasting for his Ridiculous Reverb Listings series. I just ordered a Pedaltrain Novo 32 w/ tour case off of Reverb yesterday, and may be able to make a submission in a few weeks if this series continues. LOVE rating and roasting some rigs vids!
