Ratio Watches FreeDiver Review! [$150 SKX007 Alternatives]

I’ve had a Pi Ratio 1000m Freediver for about a year and despite my collection of nice Seikos, Tissot and Oris it’s my most worn watch. Nh36 keeps excellent time and the overall quality of build and finish is astonishing for the money. And in my opinion it looks and feels great. I’m sure you could be unlucky and bag a poor one but I honestly couldn’t be happier with mine.

I too bought the pi ratio 1000m 100bar 3300 ft watch but the quartz movement version. I know it's at the worst end of watches but it was a bit cheaper than the automatic version. To be honest I did not really notice that it was a quartz movement prior to buying it, but its still a beautiful watch.

Totally agree with this - I have a 1000m one too as well as this one and its brilliant - far better quality and price than the crappy seiko 5 alternative to the SKX that Seiko has bought out. Now the SKX has been discontinued this is a very good option - an upgraded SKX with a hacking Seiko movement (unlike the SKX) and sapphire glass with 200m WR unlike the Seiko 5 equivalent - no brainer in my opinion. Plus, and sorry to disagree with this excellent video, but a much better bracelet than the Seiko too.

Probably the best SKX alternative thus far..in terms of price and quality. I love mine. Got lots of positive comments when i wore it.

Bargain, great unboxing! Nooooo, you’ve got me wanting one. I’ve missed my modded SKX007 ever since I sold it. I only put a crystal times double domed sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel insert, but it was a fab watch. I bottled putting in the NH35A movement, so I bundled it with the movement and signed crown.

Not seen many to be honest, there might be some lurking at creation watches, but I’d always build those from parts, many case options at namoki/watch and style etc now

Excellent watch for the price, what you don't like is the Chinese language on the date, being a watch made in Singapore it should be in the language of the country Singapore/English or failing that, English/Spanish, otherwise very good watch

I do to . I've ordered the 500 meter PU strap, all stainless Steele bezel (no black trim around) light green and what pushed me over the fence was the lume!! It's fantastic and it's affordable.. I may get two

These were surprisingly heavy, I didn’t measure the weight but noticeably heavier than an skx for example

Do you know the exact diameter of the sapphire?......for modding.

The sapphire here is the same size as the skx007 - so any skx007 crystal will fit this case

No screws in the bracelet - no shame, basic pins or pins/collars are actually more reliable than screws that trend to unscrew during the normal wear of the watch

Ratio is a Singapore Seiko. Like Mazda is a Japanese Audi. Nothing wrong with that at all, and in some ways.. better.

I didn’t keep long enough to test but the NH35/6 would be +/- 30s or there abouts. Can be regulated to within 10s approx so decent movements

I dislike tapered bracelets...they are effeminate looking and make the whole watch look unbalanced on the wrist.
