Hi Bob; I much enjoy your videos. I am a subscriber, and I always hit the like button. lol I'm leaving a note to try and help you avoid a mistake I made, and learned the hard way.... on your oil filter relocater, use aluminum fittings in that housing. Steel expands at a different rate then aluminum does, when the oil gets hot it expands the steel fittings enough to Crack the aluminum housing. Mine sprayed oil all over the truck.
@RatRodBobBuilds Жыл бұрын
Thanks for that tip. Aluminum it is ... probably go with AN fittings and hose.

Bob, I had a 302/4BBL in in a 65 Mustang I bought for $150.00 in 77 or so. Originally a 225/ 6 manual, someone just stuffed the motor in with an auto tranny. 4 bolt rims with I'm pretty sure 13" tires maybe 14". so I bought the biggest set of Goodyear Eagles the local shop could get ant fit on it and I had 12 yrs of great times with that car. Woah... I'm back, the reason I started this was to suggest you paint the valve covers Wimbledon (Ford) white and in between the fins Ford Blue. Sorry for the trip down memory lane...

Your welds are fine sir. If you want that stacked dimes effect. It's most important to be in a comfortable position when doing welding. Sounds crazy I know. But, try it.
@RatRodBobBuilds10 ай бұрын
Yea exactly. Clean clean clean metal ... sturdy hands ... comfortable position ... smooth motion. To me ... welding is an art that I never committed to being my best at. Not happy about that and need to have a different attitude about it.

You should get a plasma table. That way you can make those pieces in minutes instead of days.
@RatRodBobBuilds Жыл бұрын
If I was a lot younger I might would do that. But for me now it would cost as much as building a car for a decent one and I would need a spot for it in the shop that I don't have and I wouldn't use it enough to make it worthwhile. Not to mention that would not be good inspiration for folks to make stuff with cheaper tools like a $200 plasma cutter. But anyways I would go with the water jet if I wanted to go all Boyd Coddington. LOL
