Out of all the LA bands, Ratt is far too underrated. They should be out touring on the Motley Crue, Def Leppard Stadium Tour. The doors came open and in ran several people but I didn't make it before security closed them again. I wandered around outside listening to the opening band play through the walls when I came upon a row of windows that were dark and just above my head. I jumped up and down several times and saw the members of RATT hanging out waiting to take the stage. I tried my damnedest to get their attention but they never heard or saw me. I spent the rest f the concert outside listening to what was my favorite band at the time, RATT, playing what had to have been an amazing show. @Lungho To me there are two modifiers to this. I don't think that the metal aspect of Ratt ever receded entirely, but rather that it was complemented by a bluesier approach over time. Way Cool Jr. wouldn't have worked on one of the first two albums, but it works like a charm on Reach for the Sky. As far as Detonator goes, it is very different from the other ones, and I can see people not liking that style, but for what it is I think it is a great album, and it might actually be the one I reach for the most these days. Warren's tone on the album, I can say without doubt, is one of my all-time favourites, equalled in that era only by George Lynch on Wicked Sensation.

Personalities perhaps? I can also think of several Crue songs I would rather hear than Ratt songs and I like them both.

Warren diMartini is such a talented guitar player and was so good looking.

I like rat a lot, but all of their songs just started sounding the same like one super long song on the first three records

Man i love your videos so much. Definitely the most criminally underrated music channel on youtube. I'd love to see it if you could make a video on firehouse one of these days. I feel like Bill Leverty doesn't get enough credit for some of his awesome guitar playing.

I’ll have to look more into Firehouse. I actually saw them open for Ratt back in like 2006. Firehouse, Ratt, Quiet Riot, Cinderella. Awesome show and I remembered liking them. Thanks for watching, man! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Excellent video and exceptional production as usual. Pearcy and Crosby were the melodic foundation with everyone else icing on the cake. Milton belligerent in drag is hilarious

Robbin Crosby also played lead guitar. You state that Warrens lead guitar for was amazing on Dancing Undercover, and it is, but the solo on "Drive Me Crazy" was played by Robbin.

Yeah, I definitely got that wrong. Should've confirmed it before assuming it was Warren!

Both were clearly excellent guitarists. Anyone who is at an intermediate level and has tried to play "Round and Round" on Rocksmith knows this quite well.

Warren was more flashy and “modern” with his playing back then. Robbin was bluesier. They were both great within the styles they played.

Although, Warren was the more technical player. Robin was no slouch he had some tasty blues phrasing. They both complemented each other and were a huge part of the Ratt sound!

Nicely done. RATT is still one of my all time favorite bands. They have so many great albums and I wish they would release some more. If you're hungry for more, Stephen Pearcy's recent solo albums come close, especially View to a Thrill which is amazing!

His albums with Arcade in the 90s are solid too.

Very good song, I love the video too, so many great songs though from them, I can only pick out a few "slower" songs that I might not like, but they are very very few

Today, Robbin would be 63… too bad his demons overcame him eventually, but we shall always remember him fondly as the gentle giant who few have said a negative thing about.

Clowns were still ok to be at a kid's birthday party back then. Now, they have veered off 100% into Halloween horror characters.
