The pale-skinned Rattataki are made for battle. Centuries of constant warfare have weeded out the weak, shaping the remainder into proud, passionate, and deadly combatants. Even entertainment for this violent species is combat; the gladiator pits of their home planet, Rattatak, are the planet’s most popular amusement, well-known for being the most brutal in the galaxy. Exposed to their species’ competitive culture from birth, Rattataki develop into fearsome warriors.

While they are easily recognizable as the “pale species with nose rings”, there’s a bit more to Rattataki lore. Compared to many of the species though, Rattataki current life and society is not very well explored, beyond their “gladiatorial” nature.

My main Sith Inquisitor is a Rattataki, Nela Kelan, later Darth Imperious, I gave her the surname Kelan as the name Kallig would change over the years, born to slavery as first a artefact hunter then a entertainment slave, her powers came when one became a little too frisky, much like my Mirialan, she was missing after the attack by the eternal fleet attack and aided in saving my Jedi Knight and becoming apart of the alliance, even deciding to sabotage the empire to bring down the cultur that treated her like dirt for the vast majority of her early like.

First time posting. I enjoy your videos and appreciate all the work you put in. I have a rattataki sith warrior. His name is bane. He was a slave from birth to a high level sith lord. He was mostly used as labor and a play toy to their children.. When he first started to show force abilities the lord and his wife thought it was one of their children. Until one day they saw him force levitating a bed to get a toy he had kept hidden. Once it was discovered that their own children was not force sensitive they proceeded to be even more physical and mentally abusive. One day at the age of 16. He was brutality beaten by the two male children, now teenagers roughly the same age. As they sat taunting him to do something. He snapped and reached out with force choke and crushed both their windpipes. When the sith lord walked in and and saw a bloody bane amd his two dead sons. He went nuclear. He then proceeded to beat bane even more. Now this sith lord was very powerful but did not realize that bane was more powerful then him. With a force pull, bane took his lighsaber from him and decapitated him. The wife, calling for imperial guards had him arrested. The sith then found him in jail and realized his force potential. They then recruited him. Sent him to another sith lord for training who then sent him to Korriban once he realized he could no longer train him. Though bane has a growing hatred for the sith and empire. The old sith lord that took him in to train treated him as a son. For the first time bane felt like he had a father. The well respected sith lord then shared a secret. He practiced both light and dark force abilities. Embedded in bane a sense of honor and loyalty. Bane swore that he would be his own man and not treat others the way he was treated. So he walked the path of dark until he met vette. The one and only woman he would ever love. I know this was long and I hope yall enjoyed the back story. Bane is a neutral sith. He is not a blood craving monster but he is also not a complete innocent.

I have a Rattataki as one of my main Star Wars OCs but is basically just me as a Rattataki and has the same name as my fursona because she is also just me but as a different creature lol. I had taken one of those star wars quizzes titled "What would you be born as in the Star Wars universe?" or something similar and I got Rattataki and that is the first time I heard about it. I took a few other quizzes to determine some other aspects of my Star Wars self and added some of those details into the character too. Also I have been pronouncing the species name the whole time I have been saying Rattata like the Pokémon and adding the "ki" at the end. XD

Recently made my inquisitor to look like Mother Talzin even though I know she's a different race. Always been Rattataki but just changed the complexion and tattoos to roughly look similar. Play madness spec for the "magic" look to the spec. Though been madness since game launch.

I renewed my subscription recently after some years of absence and was horrified to see how inflation has struck the game. Basic dyes that used to run 20k-50k on the GTN are now over 100 million?! That will destroy SWTOR and is an instant deterrent to me or anyone else coming back. Something has to be done about inflation before the expansion launches.

Legacy Unlocks peeve me SO much. They're the same price as Species Unlocks, which are ACTUALLY Server-Wide, but only work Per Server. I feel so bad when I see someone who actually bought Legacy Species Unlocks off the CM. Especially if they're subbed and can easily purchase the Species from Legacy. Honestly, no matter what it's a better deal to just save up 10 to 15 mil as ftp/pref, then sub, and Legacy Unlock all the species you want if you don't plan to use other servers. Then that 500cc from the sub can also be used for better things.

It's strange that Rattataki can't be Sith Warriors by default even though they can be other Imperial classes. To me, they're supposed to be the dark counterparts of the Mirialans, who can be any Republic class by default, just like the Miraluka and Sith Purebloods, since the former can only start off as Jedi while the latter can only start off as Sith.

I noticed that when attempting to unlock a race on a different server than my main server, it said I was not eligible because it requires level 50. I am a subscriber with maxed level characters and high level legacy on my main server, Star Forge, but am unable to unlock races via the Legacy system on Satele Shan server where my highest level character is in the 30's.

In Canon, she is a Dathomirian witch, but lived for a time on Rattatak. In Legends, which Swtor falls under, Vebtress was in fact a Rattatakki.

changing Ventress was WRONG. It's why I dismiss TCW even though initially I liked it. They didn't have to change things. Every other media worked with the others. It was only Filoni's arrogance that led him to stomp on stuff. Most of what he changed was impossible to adapt in other media because it was foundational, just as Asajj was to Rattataki. Whereas in TCW it would have taken a minor adjustment to avoid the contradiction. Now I think I want a Ventress based Jedi. I can imagine what she'd be if Ky Narec had not died.

Dismissing the entire CW series because of one character? Thats harsh, just think of all the cool stuff CW made, like making SWTOR, Bane(and Revan) Canon, and introducing absolute madlad legend himself: *Hondo Ohnaka!* (If you wonder how CW made SWTOR canon, its because of Hondo: the Consular's ship appears two times with Hondo Ohnaka; once during the CW series, and once during Lego SW, freemaker adventures. Essentially, Hondo Ohnaka makes SWTOR canon all by himself. Absolute legend.)

@@lettussy Its the same model, not the same ship, obviously! The existence of the Consular's Defender Class prooves the existence of the old Republic, thus making SWTOR canon. And the rule is: if the legends lore doesn't contradict with canon, it is canon.

@@lettussy I don't follow any 'star wars news' either, it's just logical thinking. SWTOR is 4000 years before all of the mainstream SW events happened, so as long as nothing in nu-star wars contradicts anything that happened during SWTOR or KOTOR, it is automatically canon. Since disney took over it was stated that if something is re-written by the new lore, it is considered legends, otherwise it may aswell count as canon. Thats why I only care about the old republic area, disney didn't touch it so it's still pure.

It bothers me that whatever font you are using for the aurebesh got every single letter backwards. Every time I see anything written in that font it hurts my head because I learned the Aurebesh but it's hard to read when the letters are mirrored but the word isn't.
