John was double annoyed at having to do this show because it had been booked and money had been paid 6 months prior to the performance, shortly after their second hit made the top 5. By the time of this performance from me to you had been released and spent 7wks at no. 1 and thier mega hit she loves you was becoming the biggest selling UK single ever. So they were playing for a tenth of what they'd usually get
